SPLINTERSTORM SKINS: The Splinterlands Asset No One is Talking About and WHY YOU SHOULD BE

Splinterlands is one of the most interesting and ambitious economic projects I've ever seen. Projects don't reach this level on hype alone and Splinterlands has earned it's position as the leader in the Play2Earn industry. There are so many interesting and unique angles of this project entire areas of opportunity can sneak by you if you aren't paying close enough attention. There is one of those opportunities right now quietly ticking down readying to explode and no one is talking about it.

This opportunity are the Splinterstorm theme skins that have been available on the market for months. Why? Let's get into it!

The Splinterstorm Theme Skins are an incredible collection of alternate art skins for you Splinterlands cards that show a slick of this games much earlier design. The art in Splinterstorm has a really charming and quaint quality that reminds me of notebook doodles and sketches in the best possible way. These skins are in limited supply and the speed at which they are selling is speeding up.

Let's talk really quickly about what makes an asset valuable and why these skins tik every box. For a cryptoasset to be valuable it needs to be in demand, transferable, rare, secure, and have some utility. In their current form these skins are hitting nearly all these boxes and coming updates have promised to fill in the gaps.

The skins are already in demand, rare, secure, and have the most important utility of all: They look cool.

Soon we are going to be getting the ability to transfer them and that is going to create a whole new market system in the Splinterlands ecosystem.

With all these details added together it's a no-brainer that the more rare Splinterstorm skins are going to sell out and, when they are available for resale, likely multiply in price. Skins are the kind of thing people are really hot-or-cold about but, as this is the very first Splinterlands skin set ever offered, that makes it extra unique! Also, in my opinion, the rough and unique nature of the art in this set will make it more and more odd as time goes on. The art in Splinterlands is going to keep improving and awesome quirky pieces like Derpy Rexx are going to get more and more attention.

In Splinterstorm the worse the art is the better.

This is all well and good but want to know what throws gas all over this situation? The Splinterstorm Special.

If you can save up enough DEC, and stomach the idea of stopping multiple hundreds of dollars on assets that don't make you any more powerful, you can get huge sets of Splinterstorm skins at a MASSIVE 50% off. This takes what was a item that was always very likely to appreciate and removes nearly all risk from the investment in one fell swoop. That's a really good thing!

I thought that the current moment, while everyone is obsessed with Vouchers, Chaos Legion packs, and the current presale might be a good time to bring this up. While there are already too many sold out cards in the sets to do the All Epics and All Legendary tiers the All Rare and All Common areas are a HUGE opportunity for any Splinterlands investors ready to think outside the box!

I hope I've been able to successfully explain this perfect storm of circumstances and why it's a unique time. I recently spent $650 on a full rare set and, if my calculations are correct, I can plan on that investment multiplying over the coming months. We'll see though, maybe I'm just the Timmy who spent rent on some doodles after all :P

Personally I'm holding off buying these, keeping things simple with just holding the DEC for the SPS drop!

But you might well be right, they are rare!

I hope they are of some value. I bought a few a while ago mostly just because I liked how they look. Here's hoping that it pays off in other ways as well lol

I'm really tempted to buy as well but will all the new things coming it's hard to manage my limited resources already. Maybe I'll get one or a couple. They give half airdrop points compared to what their price in DEC would give, right?
