Playing with the Naga Fire Wizard | My Splinterlands Battle story

This is your splinter fellow warrior mango-juice with another Splinterlands Battle challenge post!!

Greetings Splinter lovers! I hope you all are fine and enjoying splinterlands a it's best. Moreover, a cool vibe is going on among our Neoxian guild as we have successfully upgraded our guild arena to level 2. Now we have 16 frays that means 16 guild players can enter together into brawl from now on. Sadly there were no enough number of guilds to take participation in level 2 guild war so we have skipped the current one. But soon we will enter the arena and be victorious once again.

Now talking about the battle post, last week, the battle monster was NAGA FIRE WIZARD! I am running late as usual with writing these battle challenges so Let us straight look into this wild 8 mana magic card from the Fire realm!

The NAGA FIRE WIZARD is one of the very first reward monster of splinterlands. This highly powered magic card belongs to the Fire section and it comes with both normal and gold foil edition as well. This is obviously a must-have fire monster and a very important card in fire realm because of her high amount magic attacks! A large 8 mana cost monster packed with both Shield and Thorns abilities becomes very reliable in many certain situations, especially when you want a high attack in your line up.

NAGA FIRE WIZARD is super usable in varieties of matches, especially in medium and large mana matches. Normally, fire is generally played with melee (when using Malric) or range monsters (when using Zaku). But in some cases, specially in large mana matches, you might wanna use high mana magic monsters like elemental phoenix or Naga Fire Wizard so take control of the battle. So, If you want something aggressive which will deal high damage to opponents with a high speed attack and further damaging enemies with Thorns, well, then the NAGA FIRE WIZARD can be your best friend!

Luckily, I have a level 7 Naga Fire Wizard with my for so long, since it got launched in reward edition. I didi a mistake by not upgrading it to max but still, at level 7 it delivers me great potential whenever required. So, today, I will be sharing the battle from my my account mango-juice.

Ok so, before moving on, lt use see what s being written in the book of Splinterlore for her.

The Flame Naga of the Burning Lands are tough. Not only are they extremely intelligent and skilled in every known weapon, but they have recently been taught magic by order of the Flaming Robe. In the last Mount Mox tournament season, the Flame Wizards really cleaned up.

For this reward edition card, Right now there is currently a few max nagas available at the market, the lowest one of them costs 31.08$ ( 0.27$/bcx, 30,872.637 DEC total). However, there are also some high-level monsters available at slightly higher prices and The single ones are available starting at 0.68$ and will cost you 676.617 DEC as per the current rate.

What Naga Fire Wizard is actually capable of?

Let's have a look into his stats and find out!

Level 1 - In its initial level, it carries 2 magic attack with 5 health, 1 armour and 1 speed. It also brings Shield ability at the initial level with it.
Level 3 - At level 3, it carries 2 magic attack at 2 speed, 1 armour and 6 health.
Level 5 - At the 5th level, It possesses 3 magic attack with 6 health at 2 speed. It also gets the Thorns ability from level 5.
Level 8 - At the maximum level, It possesses 4 magic attack, 1 Armour with 6 health at 3 speed.

Ruleset So, It was a double rule set as below...

- Super Sneak all the Monsters will get sneak ability.
- Broken Arrows No range Monsters can be used in this match.

It's a match of giants this time and I am thinking to go for the my fire summoner Malric because there is plenty of mana to spend in this match match AND I will choose all my big melee monsters. Since the rule-sets are favoring melee ones, this time I go and use some big melee and magic monsters to attack only at the front side of enemy line up.

`Line-Up`

`MAGNOR`

I chose MAGNOR in the first place because of its high speed devastating attack + Taunt and tremple and Return Fire ability. I have a level 4 and it has 6 melee attack at 3 speed and 15 health.

`PRISMATIC ENERGY`

I placed PRISMATIC ENERGY in the second place because of its high health, high magic attack with Void and Reflec ability. I have a level 8 and it has 3 magic attack at 5 speed and 11 health. This is Mainly to give my reach position a bit of more protection.

`LIVING LAVA`

I chose LIVING LAVA in the third place because of its decent melee attack with shield and Thorns ability. I have a level 8 and it has 4 melee attack at 1 speed, 4 armour and 8 health.

`FINEAS RAGE`

I chose FINEAS RAGE in the fourth place because of its high melee attack and health with Oppress and retaliate ability. I have a level 8 currently and it has 4 melee attack at 6 speed and 11 health.

`EXPLODING DWARF`

I chose EXPLODING DWARF in the fifth place because of its high melee blast attack with retaliate and piercing ability at only 5 mana cost. I have a level 7 and it has 5 melee attack at 5 speed and 1 health.

`NAGA FIRE WIZARD`

I chose NAGA FIRE WIZARD in the last place because of its high shield + thorns ability. I have a level 7 currently and it has 4 magic attack at 3 speed, 1 armour and 5 health.

Battle Result

Let us now take a dive into the gameplay.

Well, as it was no doubt a large mana match, I went with all big monsters this time, 4 melee monsters and 2 magics attacking the first card, how is that for a strategy my friends! My opponent was having high level cards also, Lord Arihanthus at front and some other high-level cards and his line up was great too! Let's look down to the match!

First, let us follow the opponent's line-up...

My opponent @tsnacks used Death summoner Zintar Mortalis against me.
At the front position, he used Lord Arihanthus level 3.
At the second position, he puts Cube level 8.
At the third he used Prismatic Energy lev 6.
At the fourth position, he puts Sand Worm level 7.
At the fifth position, he puts Phantom Soldier level 3.
At the last position, he puts Chain Golem level 2.

As you can see from the battle link above, the opponent's line up was full with high level no attack + melee + magic summoners. At the front, he was protecting himself with a level 3 lord, followed by a cube so that any big attack would return to the attacker. At the middle he used prismatic energy and Sand worm, Phantom and chain golem at last - a heavy combo of melee and magic throwers. Both his front and rear were well covered up.

He would have guessed that I would use magic monsters mostly, But this time I went with a melee deck against him and I played a trick this time by putting that Magnor at the front position. The Magnor soaked up all the attacks from the enemy monsters that were not in the front position and gave me enough time to kill his defenses one after another. The Magnor got died in the fight but by them almost killed half his monsters because his frontal defense got shattered away by Naga fire wizard with her brutal magic attacks and the blasts from my dwarf.

My opponent @tsnacks really played great! I face him often on the battlefield and his line ups are great as always! If you are reading this, please give him a shout out ;)
