Fan-art | Iza The Fanged

Good afternoon my dear community of artists and card game lovers, welcome once again to a new post, today I want to share a little fan-art that I made; this fan-art is a little spontaneous style because I know that this week the #Splinterlands drawing contest is a little different than usual every week, and I will try to participate in it with an entry. But the truth is that I had almost finished this work during the weekend and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to share it with you; it is a drawing in my own style about the letter of (Iza the Fanged) which is a creature of which little is known, only that it was born in the womb of a great snake and that it attracts its victims to a creepy cave in a mysterious forest where it exerts its control over them:

Buenas tardes mi querida comunidad de artistas y amantes del juego de cartas, sean bienvenidos una vez mas a un nuevo post, el día de hoy quiero compartir un pequeño fan-art que realice; este fan-art es un poco a estilo espontaneo ya que sé que para esta semana el concurso de dibujo de #Splinterlands es un poco diferente al habitual de todas las semanas, y voy a tratar de participar en ella con una entrada. Pero la verdad había casi terminado esta obra durante el fin de semana y no quería dejar pasar la oportunidad para compartírselas; se trata de un dibujo a mi estilo propio sobre la carta de (Iza the Fanged) la cual es una criatura de la cual poco se sabe, solo que nació en el vientre de una gran serpiente y que atrae a sus víctimas a una espeluznante cueva de un misterioso bosque donde ejerce su control sobre ellos:

PROCESS / PROCESO

This is a drawing that as I mentioned I started last week and I wanted to try to recreate the essence of the character, but keeping of course my style of drawing with their respective details that highlight it; I decided to make a kind of portrait because I have more experience in this type of drawing and also so I can put more care to specific details as in this case the snake features of the character.

Este es un dibujo que como les mencione inicie la semana pasada y quise tratar de recrear la esencia del personaje, pero manteniendo por su puesto mi estilo de dibujo con sus respectivos detalles que la resaltaran; decidí hacer una especie de retrato pues tengo mas experiencia en este tipo de forma de dibujo y además así puedo poner mayor cuidado a detalles específicos como en este caso los rasgos de serpiente del personaje.

The colors to create (Iza the Fanged) I decided that the colors would be quite bright with peach tones for the skin and deep blue-purple for the rest of the character, this because I'm trying lately this mix of warm and cold shades for my drawings; I was building a volume for the skin with firm and defined strokes first and then blurred them. For the details of the face I had to create a lot of layers, this to dedicate good detail to the different sections (mouth, eyes, tongue and teeth); it was something very laborious, but I really liked to focus so much on this because I think this way I improve more my painting process.

Los colores para crear a (Iza the Fanged) decidí que serian tonalidades bastante resaltantes con tonos duraznos para la piel y con azules-morados profundos para el resto del personaje, esto pues estoy probando últimamente esta mezcla de matices cálidos y fríos para mis dibujos; fui construyendo un volumen para la piel con trazos firmes y definidos primero para luego difuminarlos. Para los detalles del rostro si tuve que crear muchísimas capas, esto para dedicar buen detalle a las diferentes secciones (Boca, ojos, lengua y dientes); fue algo muy laborioso, pero me gustó mucho enfocarme tanto en esto pues así creo que mejoro más mi proceso de pintado.

The next step in the construction process of (Iza the Fanged) was the creation of the character's clothing. I stuck very closely to the original style of the card in terms of the type of clothing, but I decided to create some things and also add some textures to it. certain areas to make my work look a little cooler; for example, create some very shiny textures with the layer modes on the dress and the arm part. Then for the hair if I went to a blue with a tendency to violet tones to contrast a little the colors of the character.

El siguiente paso en el proceso de construcción de (Iza the Fanged) fue la creación de la ropa del personaje me apegue mucho al estilo original de la carta en cuanto a el tipo de ropa, pero decidí crear algunas cosas y también agregar algunas texturas a ciertas zonas para que me obra se viera un poco más genial; por ejemplo, cree algunas texturas muy brillantes con los modos de capa en el vestido y la parte del brazo. Luego para el pelo si me pase a un azul con tendencia a los tonos violetas para contrastar un poco los colores del personaje.

Finally I decided to make a very special background, I decided to create a bluish haze of dark night in the background, then I painted a circle in the middle as if it were a kind of star or huge moon; little by little I was giving textures to everything while blurring. Finally and as an additional touch I thought it was a good idea to add some last lightning in white and blue to simulate a kind of thunderstorm; then with a small layer effect what I did was to give illumination to the thunder or lightning to make it look better.

Ya por último decidí hacer un fondo bastante especial, decidí crear una neblina azulada de noche oscura en el fondo, luego pinte un circulo en el medio como si se tratara de una especie de estrella o luna enorme; poco a poco le fui dando texturas a todo mientras difuminaba. Ya por ultimo y como toque adicional me pareció buena idea añadir unos últimos relámpagos en color blanco y azul para simular una especie de tormenta eléctrica; ya después con un pequeño efecto de capa lo que hice fue darle iluminación al los truenos o relámpagos para que se viera mejor.
