Splinterlands Daily Amazing Battle #03

Many players complained that the summoner Delwyn Dragonscale was worthless, but after the battles' mana cap was extended, it became extremely useful.

If you don't have an Archmage Arius, it is an excellent option for example under the "no arrows" rule with a lot of mana available.

I have achieved many victories with him and today I bring you a fun example that featured a double Resurrect!

You said you've beaten this guy a lot, are you now at the stage where you're just messing with him, experimenting with the most amusing ways to take him out?

I loved that double resurrect. Personally I would have put something with shields up front (or with whoever you think is going to get taken out first) as they come back with all their shields intact. Combined with an armourer, it can be MOST entertaining.

Maybe if you get a chance try and beat him with a double armourer strategy. That would be just as annoying as double resurrect.

I'm starting to play these games myself - finding the oddest way to beat someone. My personal absolute favourite is to try and give someone a cubing.

Hello, @revisesociology, good to see you! No, I had never played against him, I meant that I have won many battles using Summoner Delwyn. Really, that Life Shieldbearer card looks great in this situation.

Well in a high mana battle he's better than the regular water guy, given some of the awesome magic cards in the Dragon Deck.

In general however I think magic teams are a bit of a problem with +1 magic summoners for the game.

With too many rule sets it's just a case of pile in the 4-5 magic monsters, especially with that 'monsters lose all abilities' rule. It's a bit formulaic when it comes to selecting a deck.

I'd like to see more rule sets where the 'magic-blast' option is made a bit less the obvious choice so often.

Mimosa is my favorite summoner for this reason - that universal void can really work wonders against magic, and reflect for that matter.

@revisesociology, I love magic and believe that in the higher leagues the magick attack can be strong enough to kill Lord Arianthus before monsters get killed from Magic Reflect especially if you use cards like Valnamor / Mermaid Healer / Sea Genie that gives +1 HP. Mermaid Healer also heals backline.

And yes, Mimosa spoils the party in the back to basics, and unfortunately I still don't have it at the maximum level.

I do like the Mermaid healer, although TBH I prefer her at a lower level where she does no damage, then she can't be taken out by reflect!

I don't know if you noticed, I didn't know it before, but when necessary the mermaid healer also heals itself
