Splinterlands Art Contest: Week 198 - Lir Deepswimmer
Today, I present to you a new digital art work which is my entry for splinterlands art contest week 198 organized by @splinterlands.
It's really been a while I participated in this contest and It feels good to participate again after coming back with the one I did last week. The character I worked on this time is known as "Lir Deepswimmer".
This character is said to be a sea god which possesses water magical power. He is believed to be the strongest water summoner and he gives both a shield and an extra improvement on that shield.
In this piece, I changed his posture and his dressing style. I also made him look a bit mild, young, fresh and feminine - as he poses with his two hands streched to invoke his powers.

Below are my step by steps processes:
Getting my concept and model
Building the character
Adding shades and shadows
Formulation - Adding more shades with scribbles
Coloring - I started adding colors from the head
Still on coloring - the legs
More coloring
After completing his cloth, I am almost done with the model
I added a background and made some finishing touches on the model
This piece is exclusive only on hive blockchain
Stay frosty and hive on.

Thanks a bunch.
This is beautiful Marcus! I feel like there is a sort of medieval look to your style of drawing, and I think it is absolutely wonderful. It looks like something you would see in a stained glass window. Top notch work!
Medieval look? Yeah, a kind of...and I love the style.
Thank you for your kind words.
Yes! My initial thought was that it reminded me of stained glass windows from medieval churches that I saw in Europe. It is absolutely lovely.
Yeah, especially the ones used in Catholic churches.😊
