I am opening a pack a week for 52 weeks as a test. That might not be a large enough sample, and it's pretty unpredictable since card prices fluctuate. I want to think that it's profitable, but I'm not sure the return is there. Plus I am not considering time to play to earn potions.

If you only counted the card prices in this, I don't think it would be profitable... But renting a few legendaries for a almost year will most likely make it profitable if it wasn't.
