This week I want to share with you a new strategy that I'm using with ground-type decks, where one of the key strategies is tank health recovery with Goblin Psychic, making it very difficult to get to the second lane cards. Very commonly Unicorn Mustang or Mycelic Slipspawn is used, which each turn means at least 3 health points recovered, something that exponentially speaking, is very difficult to beat.

Thinking about this, I used Grim Reaper since it has the Affliction ability, which disables the chance of cards attacked by it to recover their health points, and although it has a high mana cost, its attack is also very good, which which makes it a great option to win games when our opponent plants strategies of this type.

Esta semana quiero compartir con ustedes una nueva estrategia que estoy utilizando con los mazos de tipo tierra, donde una de las estrategias claves es la recuperación de vida del tanque con Goblin Psychic, haciendo que sea muy difícil poder llegar a las cartas de segunda línea. Muy comúnmente es utilizado Unicorn Mustang o Mycelic Slipspawn, lo que cada turno significan al menos unos 3 puntos de salud recuperados, algo que exponencialmente hablando, es muy complicado de vencer.

Pensando en esto, utilice a Grim Reaper ya que tiene la habilidad Aflicción, lo que inhabilita la posibilidad de las cartas atacadas por ella de recuperar sus puntos de salud, y aunque tiene un costo de maná elevado, su ataque también es muy bueno, lo que lo hace una gran opción para ganar partidas cuando nuestro adversario planta estrategias de este tipo.

As I mentioned before, my strategy for this fight will be to stop my opponent's ability to recover health by using my Grim Reaper's ability. In addition to this, I have to slow down my opponent's damage power as much as possible, so I'll use Thaddius Brood as a summoner, since he counters Obsidian's magic power increases, also taking health away from his cards.

Como ya lo mencioné anteriormente, mi estrategia para este combate será frenar la capacidad para recuperar salud por parte de las cartas de mi rival, utilizando la habilidad de mi Grim Reaper. Aunado a esto, tengo que frenar el poder de daño de mi rival lo máximo posible, por lo que utilizaré a Thaddius Brood como invocador, ya que contrarresta los aumentos de poder mágico de Obsidian, restando también salud a sus cartas.

Another difficult decision was choosing the tank, since Bone Golem is not only more resistant against magic attacks, but also hits harder and has a shield, having only one more point of mana needed to summon it, but seeing that my opponent used Unicorn Mustang in the last duels, I decided on Cursed Windeku, since it attacks first and has the Thorns ability, which will make it longer in the long run, just as it has more health points, which in theory will allow it to resist more attacks magical.

The rest of the cards are a complement, in second position we need a card with good life points and the remaining positions will be for cards with the highest amount of damage possible, although we could also use Undead Priest, but I don't have this card yet .

Otra decisión difícil fue escoger el tanque, ya que Bone Golem no solo es más resistente contra ataques mágicos, sino que golpea más duro y tiene escudo, teniendo solo un punto más de necesidad de maná para invocarlo, pero al ver que mi rival utilizó a Unicorn Mustang en los últimos duelos, me decidí por Cursed Windeku, ya que ataca primero y tiene la habilidad Espinas, lo que hará más largo a la larga, al igual que tiene más puntos de salud, lo que en teoría le permitirá resistir más ataques mágicos.

El resto de las cartas son un complemento, en segunda posición necesitamos una cartas con buenos puntos de vida y las posiciones restantes serán para cartas con la mayor cantidad de daño posible, aunque también podríamos utilizar a Undead Priest, pero esta carta aún no la tengo.

It's time for battle! / ¡Es hora de la batalla!

Just as I had thought, my opponent played with land-type cards, although he ended up using Drake of Arnak as a summoner, I imagined that thinking that I would use my light-type deck for my heavy battles.

Tal cual como lo había pensado, mi rival jugó con cartas de tipo tierra, aunque terminó usando a Drake of Arnak como invocador, me imaginó que pensando que utilizaría mi mazo de tipo luz por mis batallas pesadas.

At the end of the effects of summoners and other monsters, my opponent only gained a shield point, losing magic damage and health points, so everything turned out even better than I thought, while my cards ended this phase of the game in the same way.

Al final de los efectos de los invocadores y otros mounstros, mi rival solo ganó un punto de escudo, perdiendo daño mágico y puntos de salud, por lo que todo salió incluso mejor de lo que creía, mientras que mis cartas terminaron igual esta fase del juego.

We started with my Windeku and his Unicorn taking quite a bit of damage, while thanks to his summoner's shield, I was only able to destroy one of his cards in last position.

Comenzamos con mi Windeku y su Unicorn recibiendo bastante daño, mientras que gracias al escudo de su invocador, solo pude destruir una de sus cartas en última posición.

My Grim Reaper attacked before his Psychic Goblin could restore health to his tank, so the next round would go down without too much trouble.

Mi Grim Reaper atacó antes que su Psychic Goblin pudiera recuperar vida a su tanque, por lo que en la siguiente ronda caería sin demasiados problemas.

In a more than incredible way I was left alone with Elven Mistic, and after beating his Time Mage, he recovered his speed and won in an inexplicable way, jajaja.

Mi Windeku cayó, pero se llevó a su tanque en el mismo acto, y luego no volví a fallar, aplicándole Aflicción a su Regal Peryton, lo que me dió calma, pues es una de las cartas que me cuesta más vencer.

By eliminating the card that started in second position, I already had the way to win this game, although my Silent Sha-Vi fell along the way, which would not affect the final result too much.

Al eliminar a la carta que comenzó en segunda posición, tenía ya el camino hecho para ganar está partida, aunque por el camino cayó mi Silent Sha-Vi, cosa que no afectaría demasiado el resultado final.

This was my entry for the social media challenge, where I shared with everyone my strategy using Grim Reaper, a little used card, since it is from another generation, but if used properly, it can become a headache for the other players.

Here I try to demonstrate the importance of knowing how to use other cards, and that from time to time, it never hurts to invest a little so that our deck is much more complete and we have many options to block our rivals' strategies.

Esta fue mi entrada para el reto de las redes sociales, donde compartí con todos mi estrategia utilizando a Grim Reaper, una carta poco utilizada, ya que es de otra generación, pero que si se utiliza de la forma adecuada, puede llegar a ser un dolor de cabeza para los demás jugadores.

Aquí trato de demostrar la importancia de saber utilizar otras cartas, y que de vez en cuando, nunca viene mal invertir un poco para que nuestro mazo sea mucho más completo y tener muchas opciones para bloquear las estrategias de nuestros rivales.
