Taking the Path of Infinity

Infinity. We walked there today, in the path out of every bound. Last week we had the opportunity to peek into the future, of course, without too much information that I could give you, not to spoil the trace of history. Today I take you to infinity. And it's not that I'm making it up, this is for real. But we will have to wait for a little until that part of the story. Let's start from the beginning, from the starting point of this walking trail in the Serra Gelada Natural Park.

I know this trail very well. And I believe my readers too. This hill has already been visited several times by the citizens of hive through my posts, but for me, every time it is a pleasure to walk here. It is best to walk there in the morning. In the summer, before dawn, because the sunrise is beautiful from here. And because of the heat! Now, while the calendar winter is still in progress, it is not so important to go early. So I didn't choose the earliest time of the day but before lunch.

There are several trails where you can explore Serra Gelada, the frozen hill. That would be an English translation. You can climb to the highest peak, where the transmitters are located, but I followed this our regular route. It takes more time and fitness to top it off, and only if you are in the company. Imagine, many times it happens that people, the elderly ones, go alone and get injured in that hike, because there is no regular way up. Sometimes they slip on the rock, or just the fatigue hits, so help with a helicopter should save them. Sometimes it doesn't end well. We once went to that highest peak, but we were in the company of people who had already done that path before. When I am alone, I always go to the lighthouse, following this road, Far de l'Albir.

As you can see, the walkers who follow this path to the lighthouse have to go through a small tunnel. This is because we are now walking on the new road, the asphalt road, which was built in the 1960s if I'm not mistaken. There used to be another way, a little more dangerous. The lighthouse keepers had to walk that road many times with the help of donkeys who carried a load of food and supplies needed for life. We will talk about the lighthouse and its history in one of the following articles. Today we are just walking and watching the blue sea. However, the sky was not very blue. The air was not crystal clear... there was humidity and a little haze.

Despite that, the day was beautiful, and many people walked there. Some decided to use their powerboat and make exhibitions with it in the bay. I stopped and observed. After some minutes I realized they wanted to do some shapes in the water. I was thinking, is it the letter S they want to show us? A call for SOS? Or course, I knew those people were just playing around, as they also observed how the water reacts when they do those circles. I took a photo. Then another one and another one and... ended up with around ten photos just with that boat and the message they were trying to present.

DSC_4191.JPG

Oh, it was clear, it was the symbol of INFINITY!!

Do you see the same as I?

DSC_4193.JPG

I made a gif from the photos. Well, I tried to make it, I am not sure is it a nice one, but to get an idea, of what they were doing. Don't look toom any times, you might be sick looking it. It was the first time that I tried to make a gif. It was a free online tool to make animated gifs and was pretty easy, actually, I don't know why I haven't used it before. I see that it would be better if I would stay in the same spot, or not move the camera. I was not aware of that, so I walked a few steps between taking the photos. For the next time, I will try not to move.

After some minutes, they finished the show and disappeared behind the hill. Anyway, it was cool to witness it, but then I walked away. I made it to the lighthouse, but as it is a whole different topic to talk about, it will come some other day.

The second part of this trail is more interesting for me, and the views are also nicer. I found a hole in one of the rocks, from where you can see the sea. Seems people are passing through it, but I see it as a bit dangerous activity. Or I could not pass through it :)

DSC_4209.JPG

On that second part of the route, there is access to the old ocher mine. Just ruins are left, and many red rocks. I went there down several times, but not this time. This walk was already marked by infinity, so no other travel in time was needed. As it would be a trip to the past.

This is a beautiful path, and peaceful, yes. We love to walk there and did it so many times. Lately, I reduced my walks there as somehow time is always lacking, but it is worth taking a morning and going there.

Thank you for stopping by and walking with me :))

Beautiful walk @mipiano, I have not visited before through your posts… but I am still a newbie here so I have an excuse 😉🤓

The tunnel is just a cute part of the walk, what would be behind it… the future again or the past… as you say infinity. Yes, I go along.

I do see the same as you the infinity symbol. It is very clear in the gif.
The views are breathtaking.
Thank you for sharing, I truly enjoyed this walk. 😊
I went today to El Torcal with my walk. Do you know it?

Hey, dear @peaq, you are right, we are blessed to experience this amazing world, we just have to know how to see and filter all the good among the bad things. I am glad you can appreciate the great things we get from this life, I see that from your positivity :)

Wow! This place is breathtaking. I've never seen or known such a place but I'm glad I came across this post. The atmosphere is so serene enough to just inhale and exhale freely. I love the color of the sea.

The colour of the sea was fantastic that day, indeed. The sky was not so great, I am sorry for that, but the place is indeed nice. Breathtaking views are when the sky is clear and we can enjoy even more in the scene 😀

This is my first trip Serra Gelada National Park. Thank you for the guided tour, this is one lovely spot.

Your gif skills are coming along nicely and I see your infinity symbol is similar to this one but I like yours more.

Well, I will make sure it will not be the last one :)
Such a beautiful place to walk, but I am just lazy to go. Ok, not lazy but so many other things going around and the leisure activities we always leave as the last option. Something has to be changed :))

Gif. Tried for the first time, and as it is pretty easy to make it and like the result, Probably will try to use it again.

How are going your preparations for Friday? Any drawing ?

I am still digesting the decision of our supreme judge :D But, I really want to participate... the only drawback: I dont draw well 😆

No drawings for me but I do have something to post. I'd like to see your drawing anyhow and you can turn it into a non-fungi token but I guess it's a fungus at that point. Too confusing for me 😵
