I have won three consecutive battles who has higher level cards than I have. Levels do not matter and the choice of splinter and appropriate monsters according to rules matters. Sometimes speed decides a battle.

I put the low health and high speed attackers front line because I want to initiate the battle (may be the second attacker). This idea is a little bit different from putting a chicken front line.

I usually put a chicken front line if my tank is a slow unit. Anyway chicken will be dead but he saves one hit or two for my tank.

yeah I like using chicken too at the front. The first meat to be killed by others.
