Hey Splinterlands Fam! I thought it'd be a good idea to start doing an all encompassing end of season post where I go over the results of last season and also talk about what I'm doing now and what I'll be doing in the future. I'll also update the balance of all my Splinterlands assets at this time, go over my EoS rewards, and get any thoughts off my mind.

You Can Find the Introductory Post About Me and The Challenge Here

I finished in Silver 2 on my main account this time so let's check out the rewards.

I delegated enough power to Thoogen so that the second account finished in Silver 3 for better rewards.

I'm happy to get a pack and an epic Uraeus on my main, the Gargoya Devil is okay and I never complain about Pelacor's as I think most of them will hit $1 in a year or two, even if they're less than $0.03 now.

What I can't stand though is pulling 1 DEC not once, not twice, but 3 times! GARBLE GARBLE GARBLE. At least it also gave me 88 DEC so the average isn't so bad but still, 1 DEC should not be a freaking prize from a reward chest, that's a slap in the face!

Thoogen got a Djinn Chwala and a Seedsmith along with a few more Pelacors and a Heat Smith. All in all I think I came out alright with a pack and two epics.

One more thing, I think it's weird that I'm better off making more accounts and sticking them all in Silver3 than to just advance as far as I can on one account.

The amount of power it takes to get just one account to gold 3 is 100,000 so I could get 6 accounts to silver 3 (15,000 x 6 = 90,000) and still have 10k power left over. 6 accounts getting 12 reward chests at EoS would be 72 chests while the one gold 3 account would get 22 chests. It's not even close so I might have to make Mondroid2, 3, 4, etc and have a little Alt army.

They did mention wanting to make it more worth while to focus on one account so I'll wait till Modern comes out and the planned changes to rewards take place before pulling the trigger on that.

Alright now that I'm done with that mini rant, who wants to open that pack?

Hot damn I'll take it! A gold foil and a summoner is some decent value and we even got a Pelacor Arbalest to boot. It's always nice when you open a pack and get more than $4 worth of value.

I also stepped foot into scum bag land lord territory for the first time since I had the extra power laying around after locking mondroid into Silver2 and Thoogen into Silver 3. On the plus side, it's pretty damn cool to rent my extra cards out but on the negative it's kind of lame that I made far more DEC renting these out for 2 days than I earned in ranked rewards from you know, actually playing the game lol.

Oh and don't ask why I bought a level 5 Fire Spitter with 4 extra BCX when it can't even be used in the Modern format or most of the tournaments I play in and I don't even have a Dragon Summoner. Like I said in the intro post, mistakes were made but hey, at least I'll make it earn that money back! Good work little dragon!

I've had a good amount of DEC for a while now for the SPS airdrop and finally decided to spend some of it. The Air drop still has 132 days left but I don't want to get caught holding a ton of DEC as I think once the air drop ends everyone and their mother who's been holding DEC for the air drop points will want to dump it.

I've had bids in trying to buy 1 of each Chaos Legion legendary and a good amount have been getting filled. I now have all the fiends and what you see here. Spirit Hoarder I got from the aidrop and Ifrit Rising I actually pulled from one of the like 6 packs total I've opened from winning random giveaways and my rewards so that was lucky as hell.

I still need to buy the other air drop legendary's because I didn't know what I was doing back when they came out. In my defense I had just started playing the game and that shit is confusing at first! Air drop this, card packs that, math... Turns out I only had a 33% chance to get Grum, Iza, and Lira and whiffed on all 3! Yeah... I basically did the worst thing, landed right in the middle, didn't buy enough packs to guarantee it but still spent money on packs when I could have just bought the damn card for $5-$10 now.

Harklaw and Djinn Bilka were around $2.75 so I extended the shopping spree a little bit cause why the hell not? They're so cheap that they're not bad card power for the airdrop and even if I just rent them out they can pay for themselves eventually.

I may try to pick up a Quix at some point. I'm torn because I kind of don't want to spend on summoners until the Legendary Chaos Legion ones are out so I can buy as many of them as possible but at the same time, packs are selling pretty slowly and it's going to be a while.

When it comes to something big, I really want a Cornealus but that MFin eye ball has a high bid of $92 so unless you guys wanna get me like a million upvotes that shit isn't happening any time soon. Even then I'm not sure it wouldn't be better to get another Chaos Legion Splinter up to silver level instead.

But the reason I'm buying Chaos Legion Legendary's is I'll probably end up taking the Bronze Chaos Legion Fray everytime for guild brawls and since I'm playing Bronze level tournaments constantly I figure I might as well own those cards and not have to rent them 5 million times.

Speaking of Brawls, I completed my first one with IG5 and totally crushed it. I wouldn't say I was nervous, but I was definitely worried I would suck it up and make them regret recruiting me. I don't have any gladius cards yet so I have to rely on the experience I developed from all these Chaos Legion only tournaments I've been practicing in and I guess it paid off.

When it comes to Splinterlands, every thing about the game has been really fun and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Last night @ty2nicerva had a NO BOT private tourny that I did pretty well in.

Goodtroubletwitchtourny.png

I was up 1-0 on DaveTheGreat in the semifinals and blew it. He came back to beat me 2-1 and then went on to win the whole thing so I was salty as F for a second but happy for him cause I believe it was his first time winning one of these and we're all one big fam anyway.

Just a reminder that Clove and GoodTrouble host one of these things pretty much every week night for 1 DEC to enter with extra giveaways in twitch, marbles, stream raiders, etc.

The Bronze Blunderbuss just finished and it was a lot of fun. It's so competitive now that 2nd place went 18-3 while I went 17-4 and got 11th. If only I could have won one more game but I feel like I say that every time cause it's always so close!

I probably won't do a full recap on this one as I have some other things in the pipeline first but did manage to pull down 24 SPS off of this one.

koboldmarch16thendofround1.png

Round 1 of the latest Kobold Miner just finished a few hours ago and I went 8-2 on Thoogen. I'll need to go undefeated in the second round if I'm going to have any chance of winning but you never know. Adamaro went 10-0 so it'll be hard to keep up with that.

There definitely isn't a shortage of things for me to do in the game right now and it's a lot to keep up with while trying to put out good content for you guys!

I think that about wraps up everything I wanted to talk about so let's finish up with the changes to the accounts value.

Old Estimated Value $2,916
Current Estimated Value $2,992
Old Card Power 77,060
New Card Power 83,715

  • Start Date January 7th 2022
  • Initial Investment $3,500
  • Estimated Account Value $2,992
  • Card Power 83,715
  • Target Account Value $10,000
  • Target Card Power 250,000
  • End Date : Unknown

Overall market conditions are still weak and SPS is stuck around $0.105 today. I'm still not in the green but I feel really good about what I was able to accomplish last season and the rewards that were earned. While I expect SPS to slide a bit more before it's all said and done we're getting closer and closer to the airdrop ending and maybe that will help the price stabilize or even go up.

Since I put the last of the $3,500 in, I'm definitely noticing my ability to earn has improved quite a bit. Especially when I had the luxury of being able to rent out some extra cards at the end of the season and I'll have even more free power going forward so I'm excited to see what happens with it.

Looks like I need to buy some new cards to be as competitive as you. My approach was based to get a lot of CP, so I could get the highest amount of rewards chest daily. But that gives me a lesser competitive deck for tournaments, because I miss out on the more expensive cards. Keep the posts up.

Yeah, I made a lot of mistakes with my account. I bought a ton of the cheap reward cards to get power up but then realized I wanted to focus on tournaments so basically I think we did the same thing but I solved my problem by just throwing more money at the game which not everyone can do.

Maybe I should make a "what to buy guide" based on what someone is trying to achieve in the game cause I really had no clue back then when I first started buying stuff.
