Sharing my PeakD and PeakMonsters user experience

Similar to a lot of people that started this year, I was first introduced to Hive because of Splinterlands. While scouring through a lot of Splinterlands related posts, I usually see PeakD links being shared along with a couple of recommendations to rent cards via PeakMonsters. After trying out both platforms, I never looked back. In this post, I'd like to share with you my own highlights about these two Peak Projects, along with my experience as a user of these two platforms for almost four months now.

PeakD

When I was only a few weeks in with Hive, a lot of platforms felt overwhelming. What I liked the most about PeakD is how slick its user interface is, and that the interaction within the platform is quite intuitive. Now that I am more knowledgeable in using PeakD, I have developed a certain liking to a lot of features, and I'll be sharing my top ones below.

Top favorite features:

  • Snippets, Templates, and Bookmarks

    • Okay these three are different features, but I decided to group them in one bullet because they all provide me a huge amount of convenience as a user.

      • Snippets: Helps me save time by being able to store texts (e.g. divider links, referral link, credits, etc.), and reduces the need to switch in between tabs while writing my post.

      • Templates: I can easily create posts based on a certain structure. Extremely helpful for posts that have a similar format.

      • Bookmarks: Whenever I am scrolling through my feed, I usually see a number of interesting posts that I'd like to read later on. With bookmarks, I can easily access them in one place without having the need to clog my browser's bookmark tab!

  • Collections
    • I seriously think that this is the most underrated feature in PeakD. With collections, it is easier for readers to see posts in a much organized manner, along with the guidance from the curator's captions. I usually make collections based on certain themes that I think will be valuable for some users.
  • Different view modes
    • This might seem like a small feature, but I use it so often that it has a tremendous impact on my user experience. I can't imagine how time consuming it will be going through posts if we don't have Grid View!

If you'd like to see the full list of my recommended PeakD features that beginners should use, you may do so in this post.

PeakMonsters

I don't think that anyone who has already experienced the bliss in using the PeakMonsters platform will be able to say that transacting with the in-game market is better. After experiencing how easier everything is with PeakMonsters, I bookmarked PeakMonsters right away and now I rarely visit the in-game market.

Since I can't decide what are my top three favorite PeakMonsters features (all the features are too awesome), I'd highlight what I think is the greatest user experience improvement brought about by PeakMonsters: transacting with multiple cards.

Without PeakMonsters, we would have to repeat the tedious process of listing our cards several times as we would not be able to do it in bulk with the in-game market.

Thankfully, PeakMonsters lets us do this in bulk in just a few clicks. Selecting and renting out those 185 Selected cards in the image will likely take me less than 10 clicks if I list it at the lowest market price. Pretty neat, right?

Aside from this, you can also list multiple cards for sale in just a few clicks, filter your entire collection to easier manage a huge number of cards, etc. Basically, almost anything that you can think of to better deal with your Splinterlands collection -- you can find it in PeakMonsters.

To top it all off...

To top it all off, the guidance provided by the team in using these platforms through their respective support channels in Peak Projects discord is awesome. This has helped me clear out any confusion that I have whenever I am trying out an unfamiliar feature. Lastly, they are also very receptive to feedback and suggestions. If you have suggestions for them, you can drop in the corresponding suggestions channel in discord.

How about you? How was your experience in using PeakD and PeakMonsters?

Yes the Discord channel is awesome! I realised it slipped my mind to mention it. The Discord community is definitely a part of the user experience!
