Equal opportunity is a concept that every individual desires. It entails having equal chances and opportunities in various aspects of life, including education, employment, and social benefits, regardless of one's background, characteristics, or circumstances. It emphasizes the importance of fair treatment and non-discrimination, where factors such as race, gender, age, or socioeconomic status should not impede or influence a person's access to opportunities and outcomes. The goal of equal opportunity is to ensure that individuals have a fair and equal chance to succeed and fulfill their potential in society. In reality, achieving true equal opportunity is often challenging as there are instances where some individuals may hold positions of advantage. Nevertheless, this concept will be discussed in Splinterlands as 'equal opportunity' is one of the mage secrets.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

This week, Splinterlands' battle mage secrets revolve around the concept of 'Equal Opportunity.' I will share one of my battles where this strategy was employed.

In this mage secrets event, all monsters possess the 'Opportunity' ability. This ability enables monsters to attack from any position and specifically targets enemy monsters with low health. It provides an equal opportunity for all monsters to make strategic moves and turn the tide in battle.

MY BATTLE

My battle consisted of three rules: Equal Opportunity, Return Fire, and Cripple. In the Return Fire rule, monsters with this ability retaliate with reduced damage when hit by a Ranged attack. The damage returned is equal to half of the attacker's damage, rounded up. On the other hand, the Cripple rule causes enemies to lose one max health each time they are struck by a monster with Cripple. If a crippled monster is cleansed, it will regain 1 health for every instance of being crippled since the last cleanse.

The battle had a total mana requirement of 36, and the elements allowed for this battle were Fire, Life, Water, Death, and Dragon.

MY BATTLE LINE UP

For this battle, I chose the Water element and selected Kelya Fendul as my summoner, while my opponent chose the Fire element and opted for Tarsa as their summoner.

BATTLE ROUND SUMMARY

Round 1
I managed to killed his Flame Monkey.

Round 2
Enemy's Antoid Platoon was destroyed and I lose my Coeurl Lurker in this round.

Round 3-4
For this rounds I lose my spirit hoader but killed his Forgotten One.

Round 5-7
The battle ended as my enemy loses all his line up.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

Below is my analysis of the battle that gave me the win.

1. Speed - Since this is equal opportunity, the one with low health will be the target. So having a summoner that provides speed and armor will be the best choice. It is also best to select monsters that has flying ability and with good speed.
2. Slow ability by Baakjira, this help a lot to make my enemy miss more.
3. Demoralize ability of Deeplurker which cancel out the additional melee damage of Tarsa.
4. Triage ability which heals its friendly monster.
