A cute tenderness but dangerous image in battle, Wood Nymph!

Since Obsidian appeared with Chaos Legion the spaming of magic with earth is more and more common in battles, the magic is very strong because of its ability to ignore shield, now Obsidian has become what Alric Stormbringer was before and I think the incredible amount of good magic cards that there are in earth make that playing with this element can be a total enjoyment, and taking advantage that this weekly challenge is with Wood Nymph, I think I'm going to have a lot of fun doing this post.

Wood Nymph.

  • It is an Earth element card, of Reward edition.
  • Its mana cost is 4 points.
  • Common Rarity.
  • Magical attack.
  • Abilities: Tank Heal in lvl 1, Strenghten at lvl 6.
  • 1 point of magic attack, 1 point of speed and 2 points of life at level 1.
  • A peculiar new bud appeared at the tips of the highest branches of the Elder Tree. The animals living in the tree watched as the strange buds grew, and in a matter of days, burst open. From each bud zoomed forth a tiny sprite. These Wood Nymphs quickly scattered around Anumün in a frenzy of mischief.

This card was mandatory when the Goblin Phychic did not exist, although now the goblin is free, it has a defect compared to the Nymph and that is that it has 2 more points of mana, those two points are what make the difference in battles of low mana, which is where for me this card shines the most, a magic set of land with little mana is destructive, for example when combining this card with Mycelia and the Fungus of 0 mana plus a card with a mana of 1 (which now has quite a few) you can get down to just about anything in a 13 mana battle, combining Mycelia's shield with Nymph's healing. But also in battles with a lot of mana it is still brilliant, in addition there are several rulesets that enhance it a lot, let's see:

How to combine it with specific Rulesets:

Little League:

In this set, the Nymph is very dangerous because the cards that you will see in this rule do not usually have much life, if you spam it and your opponent is not expecting it, you will undoubtedly do a lot of damage.

Reverse Speed:

It only has 1 speed point so it is perfect for these types of sets, but be careful because when it becomes the fastest, its ability to heal may be nullified in the first turn if your tank has not taken damage.

Equalizer:

One of the low points of the card is its life, so if you match it to the highest HP of the game you already turn it into a tank that heals another tank, a magnificent thing.

Target Practice:

Giving him the Snipe ability gives him an advantage because if they already know that you are going to use magic they will send you an anti magic tank, and with this ruleset this card will attack the second line, killing the opponent's tank supports.

With which rulesets NOT to use this card:

Weak Magic:

This can be advantageous if you use Mycelia but it is usually more bad than good what you get when using this card with this ruleset.

Healed Out:

The best thing about this card is its ability to heal, if you remove it it becomes one of the worst magic cards in the entire game, so with this ruleset using it should be heresy.

Sharing My Battles!

Tank Healing + Dragon Deck:

Migue1.png

In this battle I combined the technique of double healing with Nymph and Goblin, together with my Dragon cards, the result was a total beating to my opponent who could not knock me down even a single card, thanks to the ability of my nymph together with the great power attack + thorns that my alignment had.

Magic vs Magic:

Migue 2.png

Here my opponent went with magic, just like me, but I focused on keeping my tank alive with the double healing while he focused on doing me a lot of damage, it was a tough battle but the Nymph ended up being decisive for its extra healing to my Unicorn, added to the fact that I with my Dr. Bligth did not allow him to heal, nullifying his goblin. It was an epic battle.

Failed Attemp:

The problem with spamming a lot of magic is that you become predictable and when that happens, an opponent who knows how to use their cards can do something like this to you:

You are doing really well. Dragon Deck is something I am just discovering those are some awesome cards. In Earth Splinter with the low mana battles, I do really well with Mylor Crowling and some lower mana monsters.

(Edited)

Try adding Mycelia to that Mylor and you will see how you cause havoc to your opponents, and you are right, the dragon deck is very powerful, its only disadvantage is that it is very expensive in terms of mana, thank you very much for reading me.
