New: Focus point and Season point from Splinterlands

The new season for Splinterlands has began and players will now have to play the game totally in a different manner. Let's have a look at what has happen.

At the battle page, you can now see that the daily quest and season chests looks different.

Let's look at the season rewards. Now there are different level of chests and the quanlity of the chests depends on the highest league during the previous season.
Pro: Higher level gives better rewards
Con: You will need more Season Points to earn the chests.
You can win up to 150 chests for season rewards.

So it is very important for the quality/level of the chests. Using the above chart, although higher chest give better rewards, the amount of rshares you earn is depend on where your league. For example, a gold chest need like 18k SP, but you frequently play in silver that give an average of 3k SP per win. So you have to win like 6 matches just to get 1 gold chest. However, if your chest is silver level/quality, you just need to win 2 times to get a chest or 6 wins to get 3 silver chests as compare to just 1 gold chest. Given that we have only a limited number of matches we can play per day in order to make sure that the ECR remains healthy, sometime it is better to stay to have lower level/quality of chests.

Daily focus is also very similar to season rewards except that within 24hrs, there is a focus splinter/color that you need to play in order to earn focus points. Gaining focus points unlock daily chests. You can get up to 30 chests within a day.

Currently, I am in diamond 3, so let's see how many RP/SP/FP am I earning.

With a total of 45% bonus, i can get 35.5k RP. Basically, you can RP = SP.

From another match, although I have lost my winning steak, but because I use many gold foil cards, I am able to get a 70% bonus and my RP grow to 43.2k.

From this match, I purpose use a mixture of bonus, like put in gold cards + alpha cards + beta cards. Combined with the win steak, I am able to get a total bonus of 70% again and my RP is 44k. Using the chart as a reference, you can see that the average of my winning is more than the average as shown there for diamond players. This can be because my guild give me 15% and i tend to use gold foil cards which further add more bonus.

So one of the best way to get more RP is to

1. increase ur rating and the league. Higher rating and league means you get more rshare as seen from the chart.
2. Use gold foil card instead. Each gold foil gives 10% bonus so just imagine if you have a full team of gold foil cards.
3. Join a guild with high bonus.
4. Try to have consecutive wins for higher bonus.

There may be more ways to improve on RP but as of now, the above points are what I can think of at the spot. All the best in your farming.
