My Splinterlands Update!

One of the things I probably most miss about posting every day and on the weekends was the routine I had previously gotten into to post about my weekly Splinterlands activities. It has continued to be the most engaging task I do everyday related to the ecosystem and I enjoy it very much given the journey we have had as a community that supports it. This week, the trend has continued as the community and the developers behind the game have continued to develop and update the game to make it interesting. I am currently encouraged that this will continue to lead to growth and value creation for the community over time.

This week marked the end of another Season for the game! I was surprised to see that after I finished the Daily Quests the morning of Season end, I was placed 34th with barely over 3,700 ranked points which is the minimum to enter into Champions Division I. That continues to be my goal every Season for the rewards as the last couple of Seasons Top 50 has not been achievable for me. In fact, I have consistently been over Top 100 and barely getting into the highest Division.

However, changes were made to the point system which I did not really pay attention to (and they will be reverted) that played to my benefit it seems. I found myself watching me sliding towards the bottom of the Top 50 with minutes remaining but was happy to find out I got 50th! I avoided playing all day as I knew that competition was rough. I will happily take those 10 Untamed packs for the Collection!

Another exciting event this week was the receipt of the physical rewards from the Untamed Kickstarter from last year! I thought I would be the last given some issues I ran into with my recent change of address but I was one of the lucky ones that received their items this week. I have been in awe of the beauty of all the items. While I have not put on the shirt, I have the book near my night table to start reading pretty soon. However, I have to compete with my daughter who is wanting to read it first because I have not allowed her to open any of the cards yet. I have a couple of card sets so I may open one just to browse through the awesome art that I frequently see online while I play this awesome game!

It continues to be an exciting time for Splinterlands. I heard @aggroed this week at the Virtual Blockchain event and he did a great job presenting the game in an easy to understand and concise way. Growth will continue to come and the community and team are embracing it with many things coming soon. We have seen the mobile app being updated with announcements of new developments for the game. I am also anxiously waiting for the BTC halving announcement next week to see how we can prepare! Looking forward to the future!
