Splinterlands: Chaos Legion Collection Complete!

One of the most exciting yet stressing parts of a new Edition of cards in Splinterlands is how to complete one’s collection over time. The pressures to maximize cards from a competitive perspective is one view but from a Collection is an additional considerations. In the past, I often debated within myself whether having all cards to their max levels were part of my journey. While I started a bit late down that path, I found that more often than not, it is always the best bet to play. For example, can I honestly deny that my Prince Julian or Mighty Dricken purchases around $200 were not worth it? Highly doubtful!

While I missed maxing out most of the Common and Rare cards in Alpha, I was able to max the Beta Neutrals considering their uniqueness early on. I am also glad that I did get to max all Summoners, Epics and Legendaries of those early editions. I debated for an extended period of time during Untamed as I was never able to complete the Collection despite my almost 3,000 packs purchased. To be fair, I sold rather than opened almost 700 of those packs so the reinvestment to maximize the Untamed set was only the most logical thing to do when packs were being sold out.

The good news is that this time for Chaos Legion, I immediately opened about 2,300 packs and found myself with enough cards for almost all rarities. Commons and Epics were the most common cards I needed to acquire separately. This time I decided to immediately acquire them despite what I knew were high prices at the beginning of the Chaos Legion release. I am not the proud owner of a complete Chaos Legion set; at least until more AirDrops come which will surely get me back into the market!
