Hi everyone! I hope you have a fantastic day!
Today is my weekly day off so I have some extra time, I didn't write anything for a few months, so a good time to pick this up.

I wanted to share with you a battle I did, using ANT POWER, yes, not only Antoid Platoon, but also Ant Miners is very strong in the right context.
In this battle the ruleset was Equalizer and Earthquake with a 24 mana cap, open splinters:
Fire - Water - Death and Dragon.

Of course, Brighton Bloom is born for this Ruleset (Earthquake), giving the FLY ability to all cards used, and with 'only' 24 mana, I wanted to use all 6 card positions because of the Equalizer ruleset, so I had to choose low mana cards, my opponent mainly playing Death, I picked the fire splinter to use a low mana shielded tank, our starred card of this week, Antoid Platoon.

Behind the tank, on the 2nd spot I placed Damphir Infiltrator, because I wanted to protect the cards doing more damage and putting them further to the back. The infiltrator do have doublestrike, so effectively doing 2 damage each turn, but against a shielded card doing no damage at all.
Thinking about this afterwards, maybe putting Battering Ram on the 2nd position would have been a better choice.
Ant Miners on the 4th position, again, protecting the 2 damage cards, hoping it would have gained a lot of health before it moved to the first position, but not putting him on the back, getting killed by a high powered sneak monster like sand worm or silent sha-vi.

I have to say, it's not the best team I picked, but sometimes you have to make crazy teams, and you'll get surprised by how much they win, in this case just because my summoner saved me from the Earthquake damage and using all 6 slots gave me a lot of health points.

The Showdown:

Hmmm... no Death! Water against Fire is usually pretty strong because of the much faster cards the Water splinter has, could I be in trouble?
The FLY ability gave me some nice misses, and while I normally focus my fire on the front with the Equalizer ruleset, to kill off enemy cards as soon as possible so they can't inflict more damage anymore, I didn't this time, but wow! look at the ant miner on the end! 18 healthpoints!

I didn't even needed to use him, he never got to the front, my team beating the very powerfull cards Djinn O'Shannus AND Axe Master.

yes, I like Antoid Platoon, especially in lower mana battles, where I don't expect magic against me, putting battering ram and serpentine spy behind it protected by something behind them to hold of enemy sneak monsters. And, of course it's great in Equalizer matches :)
