SHARing MY BATTLE Weekly Challenge! SPINEBACK TURTLE
Hello Splinterlandsers!
Today I want to share my battle for weekly challenge! SPINEBACK TURTLE.
This is my Second Post of about this weekly challenge, SPINEBACK TURTLE.
SPINEBACK TURTLE
- Edition: ALPHA/BETA
- Rarity: COMMON
- Element: WATER
- Attack: MELEE
- Abilities: Thorns at level 4
Spineback Turtles live around the edges of the Dark Water, in the inner seas of ΛZMΛRÉ.
They can breathe air, but the incredibly harsh climate of the Water Splinter makes the recesses of the deep more comfortable.
They are generally gentle creatures, but when roused to battle, they are shockingly difficult to destroy.
Battle Rule
- Standard : No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.
- Mana Cost 24
- Allow Summoner : All Elements.
Battle Rule is very nice because we can use all Elemental Summoners. Mana Cost is Appropriate.
So I have to choose Lineup carefully. I think the opponent team is may be choose the Fire Summoner or Water Summoner too.
SUMMONER : Water Summoner, KELYA FRENDUL
- Reason for Picking: In this battle, He/she is a good Summoner for appropriate mana cost battles. I chose to use the powerful Water Elements. I like his/her abilities : +1 speed and +1 Armor for my team monsters.
Reason for Picking: SPINEBACK TURTLE
( Theme monster )
(Mana cost 4, speed 1, Melee attack 1, shield 2 and lives 6, with no ability).It is a Common card of Water Units.
SPINEBACK TURTLE is one of a mini tank of Water Splinters. I like his shield 2, and life 6 is very support in battle rounds. His using mana cost is cheap. He was chosen as a mini tank and to suit the match.
I use him to defence some melee attacks of enemy team.
I guess, It is suitable for my appropriate mana cost battle.
Reason for Picking: FLYING SQUID
( Mana cost 7, Speed 3, melee attack 2 and lives 8) .
I use him for good second attacker because of his "Reach" ability.
So he is a good second fighter in this battle rounds.
I like his speedy attacks.
Reason for Picking: HARDY STONEFISH
( Mana cost 1, speed 1, Melee attack 1,sShield 1 and lives 1 ).
He is a good supporter attacker.
I choose her as a damage reducer for my back team.
Reason for Picking: DEEPLURKER
( Mana cost 6, speed 2, Melee attack 3 and lives 6 ).
He is a good "Opportunity" attacker. His melee attack damage is good support in battle rounds.
I choose him as a main fighter of my attack team.
Reason for Picking: ICE PIXIE
( Mana cost 2, speed 3, Magic attack 1 and lives 1 ).
She is a good supporter attacker.
I choose her as a supporter for my back team.
Her "Flying" ability and magic attacks are very support in my battles.
Let's See My BATTLE ROUNDS
Game Rules:
- Standard : No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

(PLAY BY PLAY)
[ROUND- 1]
At the start of the first round I am seeing at my opponent team use the Water Summoner too. His team is line up with Strong Tanker and back row are Complex of Melee and Magic attackers. So his team was prepared with strong line up.
In this round, we are both on our own. Opponent team's tanker have more shields, it thought this battle is going to hard to win.
[ROUND- 2]
- In this round two, My team's damage reducer "HARDY STONEFISH" is fall by opponent team's attacker. He is fulfilled his duty.
[ROUND- 3]
OH! My team's theme tanker "SPINEBACK TURTLE" is fall again by opponent team's attacker. He SPINEBACK TURTLE is fulfilled his duty. It's a good battle round.
In this round, My team left three attackers and Opponent team was still strong. If my team knock down the opponent team's tanker, the battle condition may be change.
[ROUND- 4]
In this round four, opponent team was fall his strong tanker and one magic attacker of his back row. By my team's attackers.
This round is changing the battle conditions.
[ROUND- 5]
In this round fifth, my team's second "Reach" attacekr is fall again.
Now, We both teams are stand with two attackers each.We are both excited to know the outcome of the battle in the next round.
[ROUND- 6]
- Wow! Nice attacks of both team's fighters. At the end of this round, Opponent team's main attacker was one life left and my team's main attacker is still strong. Good condition for my team.
[ROUND- 7]
- It seems goes to end of battle. After some attacks opponent team's last magic attacker is fall. The victory for my team.
- At last, battle is end with victory for me.
- Opponent team's line-up is strong with Complex attackers.
My team also strong damage attackers.
Until the last minute, this battle is led both of us to an exciting battle.
Battle Results Reaction:
- An excellent whole team performance that leads my team to victory. With the combined speedy attacker of Reach and Opportunity attacker at the behind mini tanker. The damage reducer supporters or some magic and range attacker are in particular was well supported. That was a good lineup for an Water Elemental Team for appropriate mana cost battles. The victory was definitely won.
Telling about My lineup
- The main point for appropriate mana cost battle is choosing the fasted attackers with good damage attacks. My lineup are consists of 1 mini tanker with "2 armor". Then follower monsters as 1 melee attacker with "Reach" ability and good speed attack,1 magic attacker, 1 "Opportunity" attacker with good damage and speed. And then if mana cost is allow I can choose 2 or 3 Range or Sneak attackers as a back line supporters with "Flying" ability. This lineup is best for " Water Elemental Team" battles. I use my lineup which depend on battle rules.
Did your strategy work?
- Yes it did work as the Water Elemental, with life 6 and shield 2 mini tanker provides a good strong tank positions in appropriate mana cost battles. With this mini tankers can be a good tanker if he fights with other speedy Melee attackers- such as Opportunity and Reach attacks supporters. In this battle my Theme attacker "SPINEBACK TURTLE" is show his perfect "strong mini tank" power. And also the "Opportunity" attacker is show his good damages. However, it is the collective strength of the whole team that makes a team strong.
What will you try differently next time?
In later matches, "SPINEBACK TURTLE" will be used in many other line-ups with other Water elemental monsters. I would love to twist some changes. But for now I like that lineup to work as it's really a good combination for appropriate mana cost battles. I want to meet more amazing Battles with "SPINEBACK TURTLE".
However, if I will use a higher level "SPINEBACK TURTLE" in the future, I will definitely use better cards to team up with.

I'm in the Bronze Leagues, I love to use "SPINEBACK TURTLE" because of his "cheap mana cost". It can join with other attackers and team up a strong line up. We believe in his defending roll to provide support at the team melee attacker and we will choose "SPINEBACK TURTLE" exactly.
In the future, I will try to use it on higher leagues as soon as I find my way as well to climb up there first.
