Brawl Battle Report #2

Today I want to share my battles in the Bronze CL Only Fray of the recently ended Brawl. My guild is fighting in Tier 1, where I had to enter 5 games in my fray this time. In my last brawl, I just learned which Gladiator cards I mostly like to use and which cards I should fear! Also I struggle if and how I should play Fiends in Brawl matches or not, maybe the following games can give some insights?

The Card I Love

Wow! 2 Magic damage + 2 Melee damage and 11 hitpoints with heal Quara Towershead should be unstoppable. Ok, the 10 mana could be a problem, but in higher mana battles, this is quite amazing! But there is one rule in my guild: "Do not force the Gladiator Cards. Sometimes it is better not to play them". There is maybe one little exception from this rule: "But always force a Quora" :-)

The Cards I Fear

In the last Brawl, I was killed very hardly by this guy. With Reach and the 5 speed, he was able to kill my frontline and trigged bloodlust nearly each time he gets his turn. There are a couple of other monsters with reach, the 4 damage and a decent amount of hitpoints + armor in other splinters, but they are often very slow, so this is the reach monster I fear so most! And Quora of course - but that would be a mirror match I think :D

The Battles

Battle #1: WIN

The Gladiator cards are really similar. The main difference in this game is my Forgotten One, which don't get damage from the poisoned ruleset. That was the reason why my opponent lost. He would have the better tank and the Gladiator card behind this wall looks awsome, but this doesn't matter when everything is dead due to the poison instead of my Forgotten One :-)

Battle #2: WIN

It's Quora time! My fiend was a little bit lucky here as the enemy Gladiator card has melee attack and attacks the backline due to the ruleset. But look at this beatufiul Quora at the end, isn't it cute?

Battle #3: WIN

This was a relatively easy one. Due to the fact that my enemy did not play a Gladiator Card, my Quora shines! Nothing special about this game - but here I played a Fiend. With an enemey Gladiator card, the Fiend could have been a problem... Until now, I am unsure if I should play them or not...

Battle #4: LOSS

The last time with this Mana cap, I was blown away with this Tarsa "set-up". So I wanted to test it myself. Unfortunatly, my enemy plays a Nerissa with Magic attack, so the shield does not count and it was a very quick loss. I have to adjust the strategy for lower mana Brawl games...

Battle #5: LOSS

Nearly the same low mana strategy for me, but now I was on an auto-pilot and setting up the 1 mana guy in front. That unlocks the bloodlust for my enemy and this was a quick loss again. Without this, this could have been a win (each tank needes 3 attacks to kill the enemy and every one got 1 speed, so this is a RNG play). Still, my low mana stragegy needs some adjustments.

Conclusion and Results of my Guild

I managed a 3-2-0 score this time, which is a 60 % win rate. I struggle to find a good low mana strategy for now, but I fill test some more! Also the Fiend play makes me thinking if I should use them or not... The time will surely gives some more insights :-)

Last time my Guild managed #4, but this time we are back at the top :-) With a 5 win margin we did really great. Let's keep this up and our next building will come very soon!
