Brawl battle Report #6
Today I want to share my battles in the Bronze CL Only Fray of the recently ended Brawl. My guild is fighting in Tier 1, where I had to enter 7 games in my fray this time. But before we look into the games, let's have a short look into the Gladiator Cards I love and hate...
The Card I Love
Wow! 2 Magic damage + 2 Melee damage and 11 hitpoints with heal Quara Towershead should be unstoppable. Ok, the 10 mana could be a problem, but in higher mana battles, this is quite amazing! But there is one rule in my guild: "Do not force the Gladiator Cards. Sometimes it is better not to play them". There is maybe one little exception from this rule: "But always force a Quora" :-)
The Cards I Fear
This guy destroyed me at the last brawls. With 7 Armoer and Void Armor, he is incredibly hard to kill and the 3 damage isn't that bad for a tank. Don't play low HP guys in the front...
In the last Brawls, I was killed very hardly by this guy. With Reach and the 5 speed, he was able to kill my frontline and trigged bloodlust nearly each time he gets his turn. There are a couple of other monsters with reach, the 4 damage and a decent amount of hitpoints + armor in other splinters, but they are often very slow, so this is the reach monster I fear so most! And Quora of course - but that would be a mirror match I think :D
The Battles
Battle 1: WIN
No Gladiator card for me (don't force them!), but I've got a bloodlust in anyway. I feared the Katie a bit when I saw the lineup and the magic damage, but thankfully, my opponent played a low Hitpoint card at position two, which my Grum took out and start his bloodlust. He also took out the second monster while my tank was still alive and he becomes unstopable!
Battle 2: WIN
The main weakness of my opponent is magic, and that's exactly my play. I was able to get rid of the Gladiator card very quick, and the rest was just a shooting fest.
Battle 3: WIN
The Antoid Platoon will die very fast, the only question is if my Quora is able to survive till the Reach Gladiator is taken off with my magic damage. But due to the Quora heal, this is what happens! The melee damage of the Quora wasn't needed here, but the heal and the 3 magic damage after Obsidian buff makes me winning. The extra shield from my Queen were needed too, as they absorb the damage from the Platoon!
Battle 4: LOSE
That was a hard one. The enemy double strikes killed me very direct and bloodlusted way to often. This time my Quora is defeted, but she will return :-)
Battle 5: LOSE
What a mirror match. I don't wanted to play a low hitpoint tank and decided to put my Wallstop in position 1. Sadly, this was the wrong decision, next time I'll do better :-)
Battle 6:
This was a though one to set up. While picking up my team, is missplayed the time and get my team in the last second :O
The enemy team looks very similar, but there is no Gladiator Card and I've got a taunt monster. My taunt monster did a great job and my Reine was able to get some kills out of a very safe position. No chance for the enemy team!
Battle 7: WIN
My enemy (a friend out of my Guild familiy!) played a double bloodlust team :O Interestingly, my tank choice was ideal for this szenario, as the 5 speed wins here and the enemy team was not able to hit my tank! The Quora did the rest :-)
Conclusion and Results of my Guild
I managed a pretty solid 5-2-0 score this time. The game against the green double striker was very frustrating, but everything else went pretty good.
My guild also did very well and we managed #2 this time. We are one more brawl away from our store upgrade and the next time, I will open a Gladius Pack again.
