SHARE YOUR BATTLE: GARGOYA SCRAPPER
SHARE YOUR BATTLE WITH GARGOYA SCRAPPER
Today I will share with you a game with the Gargoya Scrapper. The Life splinter is a splinter which I rarely use, so this is a good opportunity for me to learn something more about life. Let's have a look how it works:
THE RULESET
With Close Range, this could be an ideal opportunity for a General Sloan (which gives +1 Range damage) and some range cards, so the summoner is set already. I don't give the reverse speed ruleset much attention because with this low mana battle, I cannot play that much cards anyway.
THE LINEUP
Card | Ability | Reason |
---|---|---|
+1 Range Attack | In this close range ruleset, the range monsters are more effective. Even if they get into the first position, they still can attack. | |
Taunt: All enemys monsters attack target this monster. | In low mana battles, it is good to have a tank which can hardly die. This works quite well in combination with the Crystalsmith. | |
Tank Heal: Restores a portion of the monsters health in the first position each round. | As already mentioned, it is a good way to get the Shieldbaerer alive. Also with the Close Range ruleset, the Crystalsmith can attack even if he is in the first position | |
I've got 1 mana left, so this was the time for my Gargoya! I put him in the last position, which was maybe a little mistake. I autmaticly put him there to protect the Crystalsmith from Sneak attacks. But because of the Taunt, there are no sneak or snipe attacks anyway. Next time, he will get into the second position! |
THE BATTLE
When looking at the enemy team, it shows that there is not enough attack to get through my Shieldbaerer. He got 3 Magic damage and my Crystalsmith is able to restore 3 health each round. The enemy team got a healer too, but since I got 4 damage, I should win this game in the long run.
ROUND 2
After Round 1, I get rid of the Chicken which takes me 2 attacks because of the Shield from Keyla. My Shieldbaerer got some damage, but because of the tank heal, that is no problem at all.
ROUND 3
In Round 2, I destroy the shield from the Oshanus, so the battle of the tank healers can begin.
ROUND 4-9
Now it is a question of the math. My enemy and I are able to restore 3 health of the tank each round. Because of the +1 Range damage from General Sloan, I am able to deal out 4 damage each round. My enemy just got 3 damage, which I can totally restore every round. So this is just a question of time and the Oshanus will fall and the win is mine.
CONCLUSION
This was a battle with a rarely used splinter for me. I made some mistakes in the lineup, because my initial thoughts of the position of the Gargoya on the last position to protect from sneak attacks are meaningless because of the taunt from my Shieldbaerer. Instead, I should put him in the second position to absord one (or even two) hits to keep my Crystalsmith alive. Anyway, this was not needed this time, but in other matches this could be the difference. So finally, I learned a very important thing here, even if the battle itselfs was a bit of boring.
