Card Prices after General Sale

Hi everyone,

in the following I want to show you why Chaos Legion cards will be at least 20% cheaper than they are today, once the General Sale is here.

What a lot of "whales" are doing right now is buying packs, selling the cards and buying more packs with the returns. They repeat that process, because each pack bought counts towards the Airdrop Points for the upcoming Airdrop Cards.
@bulldog1205 and @synist3r have made videos on that strategy.

(from Splintercards January 4th, 11am)

A pack opened with both potions will resell for approximately $5 right now and here's a screenshot of Chaos Legion summoner prices at the same time for reference of price.

When the General Sale arrives and you can buy packs for simply $4 (no vouchers required), everyone would try and do the stratagey mentioned above. Because why not? Free Airdrop Points and even a profit, if cards resell for $5.

When everyone is doing this, everyone is listing their cards on the market and someone has to buy them. If noone is buying them, someone will start and list their's for less and so on and so forth.
So it's very likely that cards from a pack won't resell for more than $4 (if they do you could just buy the pack yourself).

$5 to $4 is a decrease of 20%.

So if cards from one pack resell for $4 and thats 20% less than cards from a pack resell at right now ($5), the price of the cards on the market has to decrease by 20% aswell.

This does not take into account, that there's going to be a huge supply that won't meet the same demand (as of today's player base), driving the price down even further.

Conclusion: If you are going to buy cards, because you think prices are low right now, wait for the General Sale, prices are going to be at least 20% lower.

Tales from the Cryptomancer also did a video on the topic and posted a spreadsheet showing the return rate for each of the three 100 packs cycles that he bought and sold on the market. Great post, and thank you for the information.
