Nice writeup. I think you nailed it at the start. Expectations. Now people get hyped up and maybe their expectations got the better of them but if I was to fault the Splinterlands team in anyway (I think they do a fantastic job) it would be about releasing the full information in a planned manner. A lot of the info comes in drips and drabs from AMA's which can be misinterpreted or changed, a full white paper for the pre-sale, CL and voucher system should have been released prior. They kept intermating during the build up, the pre-sale was for everyone, then once it occurred the narrative changed to its an event for established players. If this had been more firmly communicated to the masses and that most would not and probably should not have to worry about the pre-sale and vouchers then a lot less disappointment and against would have ensued. You are right though there are those that get off on complaining about everything but I think it's unfair to bundle all the disappointed into the same basket.
