500 DEC Challenge (Day 3 Update)

Day 3 update.png

ECR is now at 100%, time to farm those DEC.

Rentals

My rental strategy today is to build teams with the highest bonus DEC as much as possible. My goal was to earn as much as I can per fight and decided to go with a Fire gold foil deck.

The total cost of Rent is 152.45 DEC.

Strategy

Remember: My goal is to put as many cards in the match as possible, so I get a higher bonus.

I would always pick fire as my team. I would bring in either the Molten Ogre, for high mana and odd matches, or Cerberus, for low mana or even matches, as my tanks. I would follow it up Fineas Rage for his reach ability and awesome secondary tank abilities, but only if the mana cap of the match is high. Next I place the remaining cards, in the order of melee, magic, then range. I like using Spark Pixies as the last spot because the 7 speed means the enemy misses a lot. After placing everything, I try to put a creeping ooze at the 3rd or 4th slot. Speed is the name of the game. I boast a decent win rate using this strategy.

Problems Encountered

There are 2 main problems encountered.

Problem #1

Armor counters me hard. Bring in shields from Life deck or a water deck with a Venari Wavesmith and I lose.

Solution:

Prepare a 2nd and 3rd team. I slip in a water deck based on the Venari Wavesmith meta team randomly.

If I know they're abusing the Water meta, I bring in this Earth team to counter.

Problem #2

The rented cards give only enough power to go to silver 3.

Solution

I will rent higher levelled cards, even if it is more expensive. The limits of Pyre for silver is level 4, but due to cost I wanted to be on the safe side and just try to rent as cheap as possible. More risk more reward as they say. I might also consider renting a secondary deck with regular foils at the same level of my current deck. That way I can ensure my wins more

Total Far

Earnings: 507.825 DEC (101.565% UP)

Rating: 1214

Day 5 Plan

I will be spending around 500 DEC in rentals to climb to Silver 1 and grind there. I will have to choose my strategy based on which rental comps are the cheapest and work from there. But for now, it's time to let the ECR replenish.

Very slow strategy, water splinter most of the time counters fire. You can counter water with water or wood most likely but death also has a good chance. Your ecr will replenish in 2 days, u will be just sitting doing nothing for those two days. Get high cards and earn more as well as get more daily chests.

Yup! That's the problem I mentioned. As mentioned, fire had the cheapest rental rate for what I was going for. In silver 3, I won a considerable amount of DEC, but the cost of renting the water splinter gold foil version wouldn't have been worth it. I estimated the rental cost would be around 500 DEC, and my total earning would only have been around 200-300DEC Net (final value around 800-900 DEC).

Feel free to share your strategy! I would love to learn from others! :D
