Hello Splinterfans! Pogier here taking on this week's Weekly Challenge. This week's showcase is Elven Cutthroat!

In order to tackle this challenge, the best way that I could showcase the Elven Cutthroat was to utilize the Sneak ability the most. The first thing that came to mind was to use a monster with the Inspire ability which is what the Silvershield Knight brings to the table!

After doing a bit of research, I decided to take it into a 46 Mana fight with Earthquake and Spreading Fury game modes. (Watch Here)

Strategy Thought Process

Under the Earthquake game mode, I decided to bring in Brighton Bloom for her flying ability. This guarantees that I immediately will have the advantage versus enemies without flying.

Under the Spreading Fury mode, I wanted to completely take advantage of the bonus Fury provides to melee units. Thus it was perfect to bring an all melee unit.

So under the dragon summoner, I brought in Djinn Chwala. She is an amazing tank and the thorns ability is OP on her. Then I decided to take my enemy from behind, fully utilizing sneaks. I placed the Silvershield Knight after my secondary tank to ensure his safety. Coupled with inspire, all my melees will do extra damage.

The Fight
Round 1 Aftermath
The enemy tank with taunt was deleted due to the intense onslaught of inspire. Without the taunt, the sneak attacks shall begin!

Round 2 Aftermath

The enemy's backline is slowly being destroyed by my sneak attack, but my tanks were also being destroyed. This match might actually be close. At this point my chances of winning are possibly 50-50.

Round 3 Aftermath

Despite my Silvershield Knight dying, the benefits of having Brighton Bloom as my summoner is showing. The enemy takes 2 physical damage and it looks like at this point I win. The onslaught of my sneak attack monsters have sealed the deal by killing the only flying monster they had.

Round 4 Match Won

It was a close fight but deciding to focus my attacks at the back proved to be the right decision.

Verdict on Elven Cutthroat
For only 3 mana, it's an awesome sneak monster. You have to use her with other sneak monsters and dedicate the strategy to destroying the enemy from the back for it to be successful. I find that by completely focusing on either the front or the back, that's where victory can be found. It's high base speed also guaranteed that she would be able to get her attacks in before others. For a neutral monster, you can be sure to bring her in other splinter types and apply the same strategy I just did.
