Brownie - The Speed Primate

Hello Splinter Lovers !

image.png

Have you ever used Brownie ?

I think this little guy is one of the most impotant Earth Creatures.
Despite his small size, he can be be very swift, and coordinate your team into a fast group attack, surprising your opponents.

I will talk a little bit about him, and i will also show you how i use him in my formations !

Let's get to know BROWNIE

image.png

At firts glance, he is really just a simple primate, who use a stick to attack. He have pretty much no life, no attack, and also almost no mana cost, but he have some good speed that will make him able to dodge some attacks.

What is awesome in this little guy, is his abilities.

The ability swiftness will give your whole team +1 speed. This can be crucial in a match. If you can get your whole team to attack first, you might already be able to kill some of the enemie units before they even attack.

The ability Inspire will give all your team +1 physical damage.

this abilities works perfectly together, special in matches with low/medium mana cap.

To make it really clear how this works, i will showcase a battle using him !

Battle rule

This is a perfect battle for him ! 17-24 mana what i think is that best suits this team.

With no special rules, everything would be possible to be matched, lets see what we will get.

The Simple Strategy

My Strategy is based on Brownie abilities when i get into this kind of medium mana combat.
I want to make sure i will do the best use of his abilities, and to do this, i will need a MELEE team (physical damage close ranged), with some good speed. I will use all sneak/opportunity monsters i can, my goal is to kill the enemy damage dealers, before facing his tank.

The Line Up

The Summoner

Lyanna Nature was picked into this fight, because it is my only option right now. I Usually go with Mylor, but since his rentals have skyrocketed, i am now using secondary market options, which are way cheaper !

you can use any summoner you want. I also like using Daria Dragonscale since she can boost melee damage to !

The extra life, is actually not bad, and have saved me many times from geting sniped in the start of the match, so it also works good. My rental was lvl 6.

The Tanker

Flesh Golem - is an awesome tank, his Heal ability and 10Hp will make him last a few rounds before going down. i do love tanks with healing. If the enemy team can't foccus the damage on him, he might survive through the whole match, and be a nightmare for your enemies. With +1 speed and +1 attack from brownie, he will be a very Decent front liner !

The damage Squad

Goblin Thief - works fine here, he got everything we need. Good Physical damage, good speed, regular health, and the Sneak ability. mine is a LVL 5 card, with 3 attack, 4 speed and 4 heatlh.

image.png

Screeching Vulture - Pretty much like the Goblin Thief, this creature is aimed to kill the backlane of enemy formation. His Scravange ability is awesome, and will make him a tanker at the end of the combat. with 2 attack, 4 mana, 2 life at lvl 6, i always end up using this card on this strategy.

image.png

Elven Cutthroat - is probabbly one my most used cards in this game. I love how you can fit it in every team. With 2 attack, 4 speed, 2 health and the Sneak ability, he will work perfectly in this strategy.

image.png

Goblin Sorcerer - He was filling a spot. This card is really good, but at lvl 1 i rather not use it. Since it got the Sneak Ability, i let him join this group. But using cards with 1 damage might be risky, you might find ahead something like Lord Arianthus, and you would be doomed.

The Squad Leader

image.png

Brownie will buff this whole team, making them fast and improving the attack damage for everyone. I think i should start using more Daria Draconscale in order to get some really attack buff ! Brownie don't need to attack, or defend. All he must do is be there, and things will work properly !

THE BATTLE

https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=739b2eff60e7d35c416932bf2a3aa6ea8f2162b2&ref=polessins

image.png

As we can see in the battle, My team managed to clean the enemy backline before he could deal any damage. My Goblin Sorcerer was placed in the last position in order to be focused by sneak enemies.

image.png

Round 1 is where the things happen. If i dont manage to attack first, i will probably loose, also a monster with Thorn ability at the end of enemy formation would be a complete blast to my team. Luckly nothing like this happened, and my monsters could attack before anything bad happens. My gobin sorcerer got beaten up to his Kobold miner. As it should happen.

image.png

Round 2 the game was pretty much done, all he had left was his 2 of his tankers, one of them with 0 attack, Cerberus got sniped before he who could even attack aswell, and since Lord Arianthus had no Thorns, it was pretty easy to finish the battle without loosing anymore life.

Conclusion

The Sneak Speed team is very powerfull in most of situations. You can get a lot of wins using it on certain kinds of battle, specially the ones with 17-24 mana as i mentioned before.

Is this the best team ? Of course not. There is no such things in @splinterlands. But this is definitely a fun and awesome team. I hope you give this team a chance and get some wins !

cool ! depending on what league you are, you can consider geting a lvl 4 Brownie ! it is a little bit more expensive, but the Inspire skill is really great for this kind of match ups !
