Use Heal and Repair Armor in the True Aim and Rise of The Commons Ruleset

Hello, Splinterlovers, how are you today? I hope you all doing great and got a lot of SPS although the market is not in good condition let's just enjoy playing SPL while waiting for the market to recover. Today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Rise of the Commons ruleset.

I usually battled in the Modern Format Diamond League using my 2 scholar accounts from Balthazar scholar bltzr-wizard-710 and bltzr-wizard-711.

Ruleset

  • Taking Sides, Neutral monsters can't be used in this battle.
  • Holy Protection, all monsters have Divine Shield ability.
    • Divine Shield ability, the first attack on the monster will not give damage.
  • Aim True, attacks always hit their target.
  • Rise of the Commons, only monster/unit with rare and common rarity can be used in this battle. But we can still use all summoners without this restriction.
  • mana cap.
  • can use all element except Earth element.

My Lineup and strategy

  • I did not memorize all of the rare and common units that can be used in this battle, but the ability to attack the enemy unit from behind (Sneak ability) usually weakens cause can't use Uraeus, usually my way is to try to look the unit which usually good in some elements to have in the battle according to the other rulesets in this battle, but if I can't find it then I will look to the other element, in this battle we will focus more on the Aim True ability.
  • True Aim ability in this ability means that we will always hit the enemy no matter what. So if possible bring a unit or summoner who has / can give an armor buff, forget about using a tanker that relies on speed, we need a tanker with good HP and armor and, if possible have a good defense ability like Void or Shield ability. Debuffing the enemy's damage will bring us closer to victory.
Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Lux Vega, Give speed, armor, and speed +1 to all friendly monsters.This summoner from the Neutral element, it needs 5 mana cost to use this summoner. We need The armor buff to defend against melee and range attack. With increasing speed, our monster has a chance to attack first and kill the enemy before the enemy can attack. The increase of HP gives more chance for out unit to survive the attack which can't be evaded.
Diemonshark, 1st position, attacker and tanker. Has the Ability Trample, Enrage, and Retaliate.This monster has high HP, armor, and good speed, suitable to become a tanker in the Aim True ruleset. With Enrage ability will boost the damage and speed of this unit. to activate the Enrage ability of the monster it's HP needs to be decreased. The Retaliate ability is a good ability when facing the melee monster it has a chance of 50% that this monster will counterattack the attacker. If the enemy unit die this unit will immediately attack the enemy unit behind it because it have Trample's ability.
Deeplurker, 2nd position, attacker. Has the ability Opportunity, Poison, and Demoralize.The reason we use this monster is because has Demoralize ability that can debuff the enemy damage of the melee unit by 1. This unit has high damage, the Poison ability is a good ability, and every attack has a 50% chance to be inflicted upon attack, if the enemy unit got Poison status every round the HP will decrease by -2. This monster will attack the lowest HP from the enemy monster because have Opportunity ability. Ff our Diemonshark die it will move to the first position and become a 2nd tanker.
Merdaali Guardian, 3rd position, support, has the ability Tank Heal, Repair, and Strengthen.We use this monster to increase the survival of the tanker, it Heal our monster HP in the first position and restores the monster armor that has the highest damage. The Strengthen ability will increase all of the ally monster HP to +1. I put it here to make it safe from front and back attacks. This monster's can't attack and easy to die.
Angelic Mandarin, 4th position, Tanker. Has Triage and Silence abilityIf Merdaali Guardian heals monster in the first position, this unit will heal the unit who is not in the first position (Triage ability) who got the most damage. In case the enemy brings a monster with the Sneak ability (attacking monsters in the last position). Silence ability will decrease the enemy magic attack by -1, our formation with Diemonshark in the first position is weak against magic this debuff will help a lot.
Pelacor Bandit, 5th position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Sneak, and Flying.Has fast speed, and great damage, This unit will the enemy in the last position because have Sneak ability and Flying ability (increases the chance to evade melee and ranged attacks by 25%) this ability is useless in this battle because all hit is 100% guaranteed to hit. This unit has great damage, in a low mana battle 4 damage is high. This unit will give the enemy surprise if he not prepared against behind attack.
Swamp Spitter,6th position, attacker and support, has ability Repair and Giant Killer.We use this monster because has the Repair ability, this ability will restore the monster armor that has the highest damage. The Giant Killer ability will make Swamp Spitter do double damage when hitting the enemy who has 10 more mana cost,. We put it here to defend against back attack, to protect our Pelacor Bandit.

The Strategy is working :

  • Bring Deeplurker with Demoralize ability and Angelic Mandarin with Silence ability to decrease the enemy damage prolonging our tanker life.
  • Support ability Heal and Repair armor help in this battle, especially for our tanker and Pelacor Bandit. cause the enemy brings a unit who has Briar Patch ability (Every time our melee attacker attacks the enemy unit Curse Windeku and Ever-Hungry Skull it gives e damage back to our melee attacker)
  • Deeplurker become good 2nd tanker when our Diemonshark die.



The Strategy to surprise the enemy unit with Sneak ability is not working, we are more surprised to see the enemy unit bring a strong unit behind Ever-Hungry Skull, this unit is hard to handle by our Pelacor Bandit because have Briar patch ability/ Unfortunately our Pelacor Bandit got Heal and Repair armor everytime the armor or HP decrease, at round 5 we finally can kill it.
