Late Night Thoughts : Facebook / What'sapp / Instagram and army are DOWN! This is only 1 of the many PROBLEMS of CENTRALISATION!
Just came back home after a rather calm service at my restaurant...
Actually I did not even know that there was an issue on FB/WA/Insta - until I reached home told me about it!
Since 2017 , when I discovered the world of social media on blockchain, I am using these apps lesser and lesser! I am on them, mainly for work.
Seeing such a situation happening - For some people, this may look like a simple issue! But if we think deeper about how many people and businesses have been penalized due to this downtime!???
When will people finally realize the problems of centralization!???
Now that I am at home and thinking about it...maybe I have also been affected as I usually have guests ordering food via what'sapp and messenger but today I did not get any order from these sources!
And it's been more than 4 hours that they are down!
I, personally talk about blockchains and decentralized social media to all who I meet nearly everyday...and already managed to bring some people on chain! Many more will be joining soon now that crypto/Bitcoin/Ethereum etc.. are very often on the news...
Oh well...the day we start having mass adoption of decentralized social media...things can get wildly huge over here friends!

And all the recent developments happening around Hive...first of all - a big bravo & thanks to all those putting money, time, brain and energy building everyday, make it look like a near future gonna be ultra bright for Hive...
We've already felt it with #splinterlands and still feeling it and that's only the start of the adventure!
I've also read a lot about #3speak and it will be huge too, I am sure about it...when we know we have some great people behind working the most ethical way possible to build something unique!
So here we are...some of the random thoughts in my head right now!

It is really annoying, like I can't even put my anger to words. I have certain business online through WhatsApp. And it is so annoying that I can't access my account.
Honestly, decentralization remains the best. The best option now is to stick with platforms such as hive as these other ones are totally unreliable
The bigger issues isn't the centralization of a few apps, it will be the vulnerability of the grid to a solar flare. Not saying that this is the issue with FB/Insta/Wapp, but it could be in about a decade.
