Splinterlands Battle Challenge - The Scavo Firebolt can melt gold!

avatar

This little fellow is lit! The mole-like Scavos were mutated by the toxic gas that got emanated from the Mountain of Ash, and no Scavo is as hot as the Firebolt. If most of them become smart, this little fellow become a fire-bender! The Scavo Firebolt can summon bolts of fire and shoot them over long distance, incapacitating the clueless enemies.

The Chaos Legion Rare minion will gain Knock Out at level 6. It's fair combo for only 4 mana, getting 2 Ranged damage, 2 Speed and 4 Health Points. This monster is so hot that can melt gold!

The New World Order = the Right Order! The Equal Opportunities battle-rule gave all monsters opportunity, not bad for a low mana selection due to 20 mana cap.

Tarsa: +1 Attack +1 Health

Living Lava: Main tank with Shield

Radiated Scorcher: Mele

Ant Miners: Melee with Scavenger

Scorch Fiend: Melee

Scavo Firebolt: Ranged

Xenith Archer: Duh... Ranged

The opponent team had a focus on armor and extra health, hoping to sort the battle quickly. It looked like a good strategy, as the Ant Miner and Scorch Fiend were the round 1 victims. I managed to keep it fair by nuking the Chaos Agent.

I had the feeling I will lose the battle... and the feeling accentuated after round three. I lost two more monsters, the Radiated Scorcher and the Archer, and after countless attacks I took down the Gargoya which acted as a tank. Living Lava now with 2 blocked attacks, going 1v1 against a whole army.

And it was 1 v All after the Scavo Firebolt fell like a hero. The little rat done his fair part of damage. The turning point of the battle was the demise of the armor support, with all my enemies loosing the 2 armor points. One monster in the wrong position ruined the battle... in my favor.

This is why tactics and positioning are vital! One major mistake done in positioning usually brings another mistake in positioning. If the Harpy was before the Pelacor then it was game over for me. Instead, the Living Lava nuked a hopeless ranged unit and had to deal with a melee that can't inflict damage. See the full battle here!
