Hello Splinters

In another edition of share your battle challenge, I'm glad to always be a participant. With one of the earth element card "Hill Giant" being the splinter for this week, I make a presentation of a battle of the splinter. Hill Giant splinter is one among the earth splinters with limited ability of its own. Hill Giant is a melee attack monster with one melee damage, one speed, and 6 health when used at level one. Attacks by Hill Giant can only be done from the front position. To know more about all the statistics of Hill Giant, a pictorial table is shown below.

From the above pictorial table, it can be seen that Hill Giant at its late level, developed stun ability and had an increase in battling speed, health and battling damage. Another observation that is very much noticeable in the Hill splinter is its low mana and high health. As such using Hill Giant in a battle where the rule limits fight to monster with 4 mana and less is most preferable.

Fought against the fire element, the battle consists of a total of 10 splinters, each side with 5. It also involved melee, magic, and ranged attack splinters on both sides.

Team Arrangement

Summoner WIZARD OF EASTWOOD: As an earth element summoner, this splinter has the capability of lowering down shields of opponent splinters. WIZARD OF EASTWOOD reduces the opponent's splinters shield by two and makes them exposed to attacks.

Hill Giant: Being the theme for this week, Hill Giant was used in the forefront of the battle and is the only melee attack splinter used. During the battle, Hill didn't play any other role other than taking some hits from the opponent's splinters, while other supporting team members do the underground work. It was also used in the front role because that is the only position it can attack from.

REGAL PERYTON: A magic-based attack splinter with the flying ability, Regal followed behind Hill because they both had high health and expected health refill from the heal tank ability monster. Regal is a high speed splinter with 5 battling speeds, it also has 6 health and one magic damage of its own. However, this is a level one stat of Regal. Used behind Hill, Regal was meant to follow suit once Hill is eliminated and because it is a flying splinter, there's a higher chance of evading attacks.

GOBLIN PSYCHIC: Not every splinter with the tank heal ability can attack in a battle. This is what makes GOBLIN PSYCHIC special. Besides its special ability, GOBLIN PSYCHIC has two magic damage. Although it's a low-speed splinter, it is one of the best earth element splinters if positioned properly. Used in the third position, it was meant to refill Hill's heal and that of Regal after Hill must have been eliminated. Just as planned, Goblin performed its role.

KHMER PRINCESS: Known for versatility, KHMER PRINCESS can fit in varieties of battles. Also a magic attack splinter with one magic damage, KHMER has everything low. Low mana, low speed, and small health, but it did prove to be a very important splinter. Used in front of the back role splinter KHMER perfected her attack and fought till the end. Level one stat of KHMER PRINCESS shows her to have 2 mana, 1 magic attack, 1 battling speed, and 2 health.

GOBLIN CHARIOT: As the only ranged attack splinter used in my team, GOBLIN CHARIOT was positioned at the back. GOBLIN CHARIOT is also the only neutral splinter that was used in the battle. With 2 ranged damage, 3 speed, and 3 health, Chariot carried out its intended plan.

Comment On Strategy
It is obvious the strategy involved splinters from different attack classes. The magic and ranged attack monsters were to effect damage on the opponent's splinters while the melee defend them. The strategy, however, proved useful as only one splinter was eliminated from my side in a 3 rounds battle.

What I Think About Hill Giant
As previously said, Hill is best suited for battles with the rule of limited mana splinter. ie battles with splinters with 4 mana and less. In this case, its health can be an advantage, especially when battling alongside a tank heal ability monster. Though not a heavy hitter, Hill is also as important as most of the other splinters.
