~Lore of Supply Runner~

Every army should have them, every artisan should hire them, and every noble should own one. If you need absolutely anything, then a supply runner will get it for you. For their size they can carry vast amounts, they’re incredibly fast and they’ll even defend your deliveries with exuberant relish. Not only that but their expertise with the catapult they carry is renowned across the land. Countless confrontations have been recorded in the history books of these hired hands coming to the aid of convoys beset by bandits or roaming patrols attacked by the enemy. They have swarmed the foe, firing their shot down upon them and running havoc amongst their ranks with their incredible speed. Most of these forays have ended with the enemy fleeing, but those that did remain and fight didn’t last for long.

Gnomes have lived throughout Praetoria ever since the land was inhabited and are stalwart characters indeed. It is unsure as to whether they are native to this continent or not, but what is clear is that they didn’t originate or come from any of the other known Splinters. Talon and Gorst are the agency that hire them out and this organisation has always been crystal clear in the first and most important clause of their contracts, ‘These creatures are not to leave the shores of Praetoria, ever!’ Whether they are simply unwilling to share these efficient people with the rest of the world or there is some darker more sinister note that prevents them travelling is unknown, but the Praetorians don’t really care seeing as they have the exclusivity rights.

Usually, Gnomes have a natural resistance to magic, but the creeping plague seems to have afflicted some of them in a most curious way. You may get lucky and find one that has picked up the odd abilities that are incredibly useful when working with others, but on the other hand, some side effects have led to manic behaviour, an affinity to ale, mischievous use of their catapults, and downright murderous conduct. Needless to say, reliability can now be a bit hit and miss. You are strongly advised to read your contract of employment carefully, or you may find yourself in an unpleasant situation..

Formation

My Lineup's Explanation :

Rules :

Rules.png

Close Range : Range monster can attack from front position.
Blast : Everyone have blast effect !
22 Mana Cap : Medium-low mana to use, need to pick monster carefully and not wasted a single mana on it.
Splinter available : All splinters except water all available

Summoner

00. Quix.png

For this match, i use Quix the Devious as my Summoner. With -1 range attack and -1 speed, this summoner really fit the supply runner, because while supply runner are giving 1 speed buff to allies, quix could help to decreasing enemies speed. Let's make them miss !

Front Row

02. Void Dragon.png

Void Dragon is my tanker. With 9 health, 5 speed, flying, dodge, and phase ability, this void dragon expected to dodge every attack to him, both physical and even magic attack ! This is very important because every attack have blast ability, flee from it or getting blasted ! This monster really suit the supply runner, because with the help of supply runner buff and quix together with time mage's slow debuff, this monster should be untouchable !

Second Monster

02. Gargoya Scrapper.png

Gargoya Scrapper is my 2nd monster, i put him there because of the blast effect rules, i expect him to buy some times before enemies attack are blasting my hitter on backline. With void ability, this gargoya scrapper could nerf enemies magic blasted attack into 0 !

Third Monster

01. Soul Fiend.png

The Sould Fiend with 0 mana cost, is my 3rd monster with the same mission as gargoya scrapper to waste some enemies attack, the different is soul fiend don't have the void, that's why i put him on 3rd lane instead of 2nd.

Fourth Monster

05. Time Mage.png

4th monster is Time Mage. With just 4 mana usage, this monster have 2 magic attack to hurt enemies, got 4 speed to avoid enemies attack, and 3 health to survive. She also had slow debuff and rust abilities to slow enemies down and stripped their armor. Very important monster monster to pair with Supply Runner to make the void dragon untouchable.

Fifth Monster

03. Celestial Harpy.png

I choose celestial harpy as my 5th monster. With opportunity and true strike ability, this monster will never missed any chance to hit enemy's weaker monster. This monster also have a pretty good speed and have flying ability. With the help of time mage's and quix slow debuff and supply runner buff, this monster also have a strong survival ability from monster with physical attack (because of the high speed and flying ability). His opportunity ability is really good at the blast rule because he often will cause damage to 3 enemies at once.

Sixth Monster

06. Supply Runner.png

Supply Runner is my sixth monster! This weekly monster is a the core piece of my full speed strategy. With swiftness ability, she gave all her teammates +1 speed ! This mosnter itself also have a good speed, this is why i put her last, to avoid enemies sneak-er that already slowed down.

Does My Strategy is Worked ? :

Yes ! With amazing of Quix and Time Mage slow debuff and supply runner swiftness, enemies got all their monster with just 1 speed, so my teams could get full turn to attacking first before enemies could attack. An easy win, you could see how the battle goes from the gif below.

About Supply Runner :

About.png

Supply runner have 2 range attack until she got lv 8 which improved into 3. At lv 5, she got the swiftness ability which is very important, and then at lv 10 she got strenghthen to give health boost for all allies. She also have pretty high speed, start with 3 and could ended up with 5 speed started from lv 7.

What i like about Supply Runner:
What i like about Supply Runner is she have a very very good ability to give +1 buff to allies, which on some ruleset like blast is very very important to get early turn attack and avoiding as much damage as we can. She also on neutral element so could suit any other splinter. Speed for everyone ! ;

What i don't like about Supply Runner :
I don't have any dislike about this monster, because i think she have pretty solid stats and ability.

When to Use Supply Runner :

I suggest you to use this monster for this situation:
When you got ruleset or predicted enemies that speed have really big impact, just like this blast ruleset or facing yodin zaku to prevent your monster getting blasted attack.

When to Avoid using Supply Runner :

I don't recommend you to use this monster for situation:
1. On reverse speed ruleset. His main attribute and ability is for gaining speed, so ofcourse she will be a bad influence to have on reverse speed ruleset.

Conclussion

Supply Runner is a pretty good monster. she have a pretty good range attack, high speed, and the most important is swiftness ability. She also very suitable for almost all splinter since she is a neutral monster. The only rules you have to watch out is the reverse speed ruleset. She will debuff her own team !
