Weekly Battle Challenge (7).gif

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is equal opportunity ruleset which makes all monsters have opportunity ability and could attack from anywhere to aim the most lowest health opponent. I will give the battle example from the LLAC Tournament, let's see how the battle goes !

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Before we discuss about the formation, here is the rules for this match
Equal Opportunity : All monsters are having opportunity ability.
Even Stevens : Only monsters with even mana cost are playable on the match.
Fire & Regret : All monsters are having return fire ability
51 mana cap: High mana for many combinations
Splinter available : All splinters except fire and water are available

My Lineup's Explanation :

PositionCardAbilityStrategy
Summonersimage.png+1 speed, bring gladiusThis is the most flexible summoners to bring gladius cards, because she is on dragon splinter and could bring all available splinter monsters beside the dragon monsters.
Tankerimage.pngHeal, BloodlustQuora is my first monster because she got the heal. On Opportunity ruleset , she might become last monsters to aimed due to her high hp, so i put her first to receive damage from enemies tank. She also had 2 magic and 2 melee before bloodlust to makes her an effective attacker as well.
2nd Monsterimage.pngThornDjinn Chwala is my 2nd monster because he is very usefull monster to go against melee attacker that likely would appear because able to attack on any position on this match. With high hp and armor plus thorn ability, he will hurt enemies melee back when they attack him. Got 2 attack as well to hit enemies from the back.
3rd Monsterimage.pngRetaliateStone splitter orc is my third monster because he got high attack and retaliate ability to strike back enemies melee attacker with his high attack..
4th Monsterimage.png-Enchanted defender is my 4th monster because he is great decoy on opportunity ruleset, with low hp, enemies will aim him, and with his high armor, he could tank some attack from enemies physical attack..
5th Monsterimage.pngScattershot, flyChaos dragon is my 5h monster because he got high magic damage , high health, and armor to makes him perfect to go against enemies that anticipated melee attack. This dragon also had fly ability to makes enemies harder to aim him.
6th Monsterimage.png-Last is naga assasin. I choose her because the time is so short and i forgot there is backfire ruleset, lol. Normally she is great on the back due to her high speed that might waste enemies attack with the miss, but today, she would likely die by her own attack haha.

I would also talk a little about my enemies lane up, but won't too detailed as my lane up, just my point of view in general about his lane up.

On the other side, my enemies put dark element summoner that could bring gladius card and had -1 health debuff. I think the -1 health debuff is really great to makes your team eliminate enemies easier. Next on the front, there is harklaw with shield ability that is great to be tanker for reducing enemies attack since first round. Minotaur with double attack is not really good since the damage is just 1 and just having 5 health. The ghost is great to give magic attack with fly ability and high health. Tatiana Blade is supposed to be the main hitter, with 3 melee attack and 2 range damage, she could give 5 damage on each turn, and could be more when the gladius is activated, but the real problem is Tatiana only had 5 health and he got no monster with lower health than her, this is what cause my team could eliminate this super danger monster earlier on the match.

On first round, my naga assasin is eliminated after getting backfire from enemies 😂, but no problem because the most dangerous opponent (Tatiana) is got eliminated this turn along with the minotaur. I lost my enchanted defender and the orc as well this turn. It's ended with 3 vs 4 situation at the end of first round.

On 2nd round, djinn chwala managed to eliminate enemies zombie while the rest are still remain on the battlefield. Now it's back to 3 vs 3 situation at the end of second round.

On 3rd round, Djin Chwala once more eliminate enemies monsters after the cursd windeku fall down by his attack. Now it's 3 vs 2 situation for me at the end of 3rd round!

On 4th round, harklaw is eliminated followed with the ghost later, i won this match with those 3 monsters left 😊

Discuss About Equal Opportunity :

What Should We Get :

Armor buff is great to gives all teammates extra physical protection, while minus armor and pierce is great to go against enemies buff. Monster with bloodlust is great because had high chance to trigger the ability since they could attack from anywhere and aim lowest health monster, but be carefull not to put those monsters if they have the lowest health. Always keep in mind that enemies will always aim your lowest health monster ! Having low health monster with shield ability, high armor, high speed and evade or fly is great as well to waste enemies attack. Since enemies would likely to hit backline monster that having lower health, put tanker with heal will be usefull to waste enemies tanker attack

What Should We Avoid:
Never put monsters with high mana cost and damage but having low health without any cover by lower health monsters, because they will easily eliminated, wherever you put them on the battlefield.

What would i do next ?
I will try to put my quora on the backline to makes her easier getting the bloodlust, i want to see her grow and grow 😌

Conclussion

On equal opportunity ruleset, every monster will aim for the lowest health enemies, try getting a low health monster with usefull defensive ability such as shield, high armor, high speed, and dodge ability. Having monster with bloodlust ability will be very usefull since they will easier get their bloodlust triggered after attacking lowest health enemies, but keep in mind they will get hunted as well if they have lowest health, makes sure to get them enough cover. Armor buff will be very usefull to protect the team, and get enemies armor down with minus armor or pierce will makes your monster easier to eliminate opponent monster,
