Weekly Challenge - Crypt Beetle

Alright so it is another week, thus another week of Battle Challenge again! Now this monster, I am familiar with it, just that I am also aware that winning with it is easy only when a couple of match conditions are fulfilled. But before that, let us have a closer look on this monster!

Now I really like it's Shield ability, reducing the amount of physical damage received by half. This is actually, a really useful ability. Nevertheless, it has really low amount of health. At level 1, it only has a health of 2. Even at the highest level, the health is only at 5. Therefore, the optimal match condition to use this bug is when we have "Equaliser" whereby all health is equal, and in a low mana match. How would such a battle look like? Here we go!

I would say for this match, everything went according to plan! Now I placed my Crypt Beetle in the first position as a tank, to absorb as much damage as possible. With it's Shield ability, it really helps. Now my backline consist of Life Sapper as well as Ancient Lich, my main damage dealer. It also really helps that I have the Life Leech ability for the latter two, as it really increases their survivability. This lineup is meant to increase my survivability while being able to dish out a reasonable amount of damage. The opponent's Opportunity abilities didn't work as everyone has the same health, and the armour did not work as well as I went for magic attack.

Everything was smooth and at no point of time did I ever felt that there was a possibility that I may lose this match.

Now will I ever use this again? Yes! But as I said, the Crypt Beetle is useful only when there are ideal match conditions!
