#8 - One Dragon To Win It All - Drake of Arnak

The theme for the current "Share Your Battle" challenge is Dragons. To be honest, I have not used any Dragons before. So this challenge actually pushed me to try them out and I must say I was surprised what I have been missing out all this while!

The first thing I did was to check out my Dragon cards. To my surprise, there was only 1 card and it's a summoner! Lol!

  • Pre-battle: Oh I was stunned by this. I didn't know! Haha!

  • Team Setup: Have set up my team with my strong melee combination at the start, followed by the rest, and lastly with my new card Pelacor Conjurer protecting the back.

  • Round 1: +1 Armor from my Dragon Summoner for all soaked up most of the first hits (wow) and my Cave Slug took 1 card out.

  • Round 2: My opponent's hits started to get through after some of the armor was breached. Lost my healer and on-form Cave Slug took out another card.

  • Round 3: Finally their tank fell by a final hit from Luminous Eagle and I had some advantage!

  • Rounds 4-5: Their range attackers couldn't do much and my melee combination took the win comfortably in the end.

Did my strategy work? I think it did. Having Drake of Arnak with the +1 Armor neutralised almost all the attacks in the 1st round, leaving my team fresh as ever for the 2nd round. So will definitely try this if the opportunity arises and I am glad this challenge made me experiment with a new summoner! :)
