Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - We Got FIRST!

Time flies! Just completed the 26th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me. Only had 4 battles this time so I did reasonably ok this time.

• We Got 1st!

So for the final result, we maintained our podium this time, finished 1st out of 9 guilds and got a whooping 915 Merits! We rarely get first so a massive congratulations to all!!!

Individually, I had 4 fights this time. Even though I only managed to win 2, my fights were kinda interesting! Ended up 8th within the guild! Woohoo!

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson

This was a fight that went all wrong. I placed all my hopes on Katrelba Gobson but she went down with Thorns, leaving my remaining lineup to fight against 3 Legendary cards. Couldn't do much in this one.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

A 99 mana battle calls for Yodin Zaku and my optimism faded when I saw Yodin Zaku on the opposing side. To be honest, I am not sure how I came out victorious in this battle, especially when my opponent had 2 strong Legendary cards as the primary and secondary tank. Both cards effectively added up to 8 armor and 22 HP. I suspect I had a slightly higher damage output and it made the difference. As for MVP, it was more of a team effort but I would give it to Almo Cambio for protecting the entire backline by soaking up all the Blast damage.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sarius

What? Another Yodin Zaku vs Yodin Zaku battle? Once again my lineup of Ranged cards produced a higher damage output and managed to overcame my opponent's lineup, whose Sneak strategy unfortunately didn't pay off in this Equaliser battle. The MVP went to Blood Maker this time, whose Scattershot was deadly with Blast when they hit the "right" cards. So I guess, the takeaway is never underestimate Common Cards hahaha!

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

My strategy didn't work out as planned as I had trouble overcome the Repair/Tank Heal combination employed by my opponent, so I lost this one.

MVP: None

So that sums up my 4 battles for this brawl! Didn't had a lot of fun this time because there were too little battles.
