The Day is here (11/3/2019) and we are just hours away from the first of two promotional tournaments that were set up due to the massive success of the Splinterlands Kickstarter.
Kickstarter exists to help bring creative projects to life. A home for film, music, art, theater, games, comics, design, photography and more. Interested parties invest or donate money to help a project succeed via the website. Sometimes said investors get perks for doing so. Splinterlands (also known as Steemmonsters) is a digital card game created by @aggroed and @yabapmatt. Early game release has launched and prizes are already up for grabs. The first of these two games (the one being played today, 11/03/2019) has $236 USD worth of in game currency and assets up for grabs. Today's game will be played in the Silver league and with a value of $236 its one of the biggest Silver League tournaments to date.
There has been plenty of Silver tournaments leading up to this event and I hope you played them to brush up on your silver league play. Every league plays different so the gamer's that are the top players in the Champion league have no advantage over your Silver league deck.
These promotional tournaments are a great opportunity for those who been trying to build their decks as they are awarding a meaningful amount of DEC in which can be used to purchase cards on the Splinterlands market.
How successful Is The Splinterlands Kickstarter?
Splinterlands second Kickstarter has been such a massive success that the founders keep adding new free goodies to give to those who contribute to it. From free Stickers to free Orbs there's something for everyone. Between Kickstarter and Fundition the Splinterlands community has raised over $170,000 USD which far exceed the success of the first kickstarter that raised over $88,000 USD.
What is Fundition?
Fundition is similar to Kickstarter and is used as a place to seek funding for various projects. None of that useless fiat is needed here as you pay with your cryptocurrency.

I got a bye in the qualifier round/won the second and went 1-2 in the third. The game MOD little league is what cost me the two lost matches. I usually lose when playing that mode.
