The Splinterlands team has started an initiative and its called Show Your Battle Contest. Every week the team picks a theme and asks us Monster Manaics to showcase some battles that are in line with that theme. This weeks theme is .......
Last weeks share your battle contest showcased theme was BROWNIE. You can view my showcased battle for BROWNIE by clicking, here. As already noted this weeks theme is the Life monster SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN, its abilities can be seen below.
Abilities?
The Battle
The above battle took place in the novice league. Mana cap was 22 and the two game modes in play where Fog Of War and Up Close And Personal. For the battle shared above I decided to go with the line up of SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN / SILVERSHIELD WARRIOR / COCATRICE / and SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT.
My opponent also picked the Life Splinter and their team line up was identical to mine with the expection of our team placement being different. In the end it was my opponent who came out victorious as their team placement was superior to mine. In fact even though I picked the same monsters as my opponent, I wasn't able to even defeat one of their monsters in battle. Their decision to put SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN in first position was my undoing.

SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN
The Assassins do not openly wear the insignia of the Order of the Silver Shield, for they take on the dirty work, the kind of work that is best forgotten after it is done. Armed with small jagged daggers and throwing knives, Silver Shield Assassins kill with the silence of a nightfall over the Khymeve Meadows. They never take prisoners.**Lore taken from official site.
Sneak: Targets the last Monster on the enemy team instead of the first Monster.
Posion: Attacks have a chance to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poision is applied.
Double Strike: Monster attacks twice each round.

Life type of cards is the most unused pack in my teams.

Oh dang! I just watched. Looks like at level one the assassin is an excellent tank with that double strike already enabled. It was a little sad for your team... the other assassin was ruthless.
