Battle Challenge - Uriel The Purifier

Uriel The Purifier belongs to the new Chaos Legion Edition, it is a Legendary card that uses a lot of Mana, 11, being a weak point against the Giant Killer ability, where it suffers double damage for having more than 10 Mana. In addition, since it has the ability Recharge it attacks in staggered rounds but does triple the damage, however it is weak against the ability Forcefield because it only does 1 damage with its attack because its strength is greater than 5 power.

But it has its strengths, in the initial level the Flying skill helps in negative rules set and some advantage against Melee and Ranged attacks because they can miss their attacks, but its highlight is in its level 2 that gains Heal skill and makes it a very important card if it is not hit by Affliction skill.
At its last level it gains the new Redemption ability where it deals 1 damage to each monster in battle when it is eliminated from the arena.

For this battle we had 42 Mana available, where the Melee attack cards could attack from any position and the cards had 2 additional Armor.
This battle is in a Silver Tournament with Chaos Legion edition, where we can use cards on the levels (5-4-3-2) but you need to have Summoners that allow you to use cards on those levels.
So I rented some cards to be able to participate in the tournament in order to be more balanced, and so I rented the Legendary Summoner Quix the Devious at level 2 that allowed to use the cards at the maximum levels allowed, and as it belongs to the Dragon Splinter can be combined with any Splinter, being important to have in Deck.

So I chose Dragon Splinter with Life to be able to use Uriel The Purifier at level 2 with Flying and Heal skill gave some security for this battle every round.
In the second position, Desert Dragon with excellent attack strength, and this card at level 2 gains Piercing ability where adjacent damage on armor, takes away in health points, and being a battle with Armored Up, I could have some advantage with this card.

In the third position I chose Adelade Brightwing I only had this card in the starting level, and didn't take advantage of the Resurrect ability, but it has Repair ability that would be important to keep my cards in battle.
On the fourth position, Carnage Titan at level 2 increases the strength of its attack, and with Double Strike ability and well protected in Armor and Health it was a powerful card for this battle.
And finally to complete my Mana available, Dax Paragon, only at the initial level, with Magic attack, and this completes my formation.

The opponent chose Life Splinter where my Summoner can eliminate General Sloan's Buff in addition to slowing down the opponent's cards, where it is always important to attack first in battles.
Both cards concentrate their attacks on the front line while I have Uriel as a tank the opponent chose Chaos Knight with Shield ability, where my Magic attacks can hit his Health.
Adelade Brightwing allows me to keep Uriel's Armor and prevent the opponent from dealing damage from his Health.
All cards survive the first round, and by the second round Uriel can attack.

Although Time Mage is the first to attack in the battle, Uriel manages to heal from the damage taken, and his attack hits Chaos Knight's Armor and the opponent's Uriel's attack also hits my card's Armor, due to Adelade Brightwing and Carnage Titan ends up destroying Chaos Knight passing the opponent's Uriel to lead his formation.

Reaching the fourth round, Uriel can attack again, but first Carnage Titan manages to eliminate the opponent's Uriel card, making it easier for the battle to unfold, while my card still remains in battle, which eliminates Disintegrator Armor while Desert Dragon eventually eliminates it, making the battle a win for me because from here on the opponent has no way to be able to turn this battle around.

It was an important victory in which my combination used for this battle managed to be superior to the opponent, in which Adelade Brightwing allowed me to protect my Uriel and together they are quite strong.
Having used some cards at a high level allowed me to face the opponent, and although I managed to pass the knockout round in the tournament, in the second round I was only able to win this battle.

The first round of battles went well, where I got 6 wins out of 11 battles.
In the second round it went very badly because I was up against experienced players with good cards, and I only managed one victory in 10 battles, which caused me to drop down the ranking places, ending up in position 96 out of 191 registered players.
It could have been better but it is a very demanding tournament, where having all the cards at a high level allowed makes all the difference, but I enjoyed participating and facing strong players.
