Hi everyone, this week's challenge is to share a Splinterlands game battle over the SPINEBACK TURTLE card

STATS SPINEBACK TURTLE

SPINEBACK TURTLE is an Alpha and Beta edition monster, common rarity and Water splinter
As you can see from the statistics, it is a card with Melee attack and low speed, at level 1 it can have 6 life and 2 armor, even at higher levels of evolution, speed is not its strongest point, but on the other hand it increases significantly up your armor.
A common rarity monster with 4 mana in early levels stands out for its defense and at level 4 it gains thorns skill (when hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker) which makes the monster even stronger to attack and defend .
With so much armor and life it's weaker against magic attack monsters, but with Bortus summoner to reduce magic damage and a monster with Tank Heal skill can survive some combat rounds

Next I share a battle where I used the SPINEBACK TURTLE monster on level 1, it's complicated by having low speed in the initial levels, and without skill it should be used as a tank or in a combat with favorable ruleset Melee attacks, such as Melee Mayhem (Monsters with Melee attack can attack from any position, Super Sneak (Monsters with Melee attack gain sneak ability - attack last position) or also Reverse Speed rule (Monsters with low speed attack first - this has greater advantage only when SPINEBACK TURTLE is in the initial levels of evolution)

For this battle, the ruleset only allowed Fire, Water and Life Splinter monsters with a total of 22 mana

Analyzing the last combats of the opponent came with monsters splinter water and with magic attack, and in that sense I chose Bortus as summoner to reduce the magic attack, I used SPINEBACK TURTLE as a tank in the front line, then Deeplurker with opportunity skill, Creeping Ooze to reduce opponent's speed, with Scavo Hireling intent to restore my tank's armor early and lastly Venari Wavesmith with magic attack and ability to increase my monsters' armor

The opponent @JADENJVTMURRAY chose for this battle a ranged attack increase summoner - General Sloan and as monsters used it for tank, Chaos Knight with Shield skill (reduces damage from melee and ranged attacks) and later monsters with ranged attack, Herbalist, Venari Crystalsmith ( Tank Heal skill) and Pelacor Arbalest (Double Strike skill)

About Combat

The opponent changed my turns and used splinter Life instead of Water, and having as a tank a monster with Shield skill, my SPINEBACK TURTLE didn't cause damage to it, my other monsters would have to be able to kill it, just protecting it the first line waiting for the opportunity when Chaos Knight was eliminated so that later it could deal damage to the opponent's monsters.
It became complicated since the opponent has a monster with Tank Heal skill which made his tank's life longer, but I was protected with Scavo that every round I was repairing my tank's armor.
SPINEBACK TURTLE only lasted two rounds and gave way to Deeplurker who had already eliminated the Pelacor Arbalest and with the help of Creeping Ooze to reduce the enemy monsters' speed, I created an advantage to attack first before Venari Crystalsmith could repair Chaos Knight.

I ended up winning the battle, it was a good fight despite my summoner Bortus not having influenced the combat at all, I managed to create a deck capable of protecting itself and attacking, it was a pity that SPINEBACK TURTLE was only in combat for 2 rounds, but managed to protect the line of attack, so that Deeplurker could eliminate important opponent monsters

With this victory I increased 20 points in the rank so far in the Bronze II league and as a result I received a reward of 0.439 dec
