How Many Chaos Legion Packs Will You Get?
I have seen a lot of disagreement over whether or not the voucher system being employed for the newest Splinterlands card packs are fair.
On one side, you want to reward the players that have invested time and money with vouchers, but on the other side of that you are adding a few hoops for new players to jump through that are looking to make investments of their own.
I am not sure I really have an issue with it, but I see both sides of the story here.
I personally am only getting around .1 vouchers a day. This will give me the ability to get nearly 4 packs by the time the presale event comes to a close as I am continuing to build onto my stake of SPS.
My personal goal with this drop is to reach 10 packs, or 50 cards. As a smaller account this is going to be a big swing for me and use up all of the potions I have stocked up from doing daily quests. It has been a bit frustrating to have racked up so many potions instead of credits or rewards cards, but perhaps that frustration will be worth it upon opening a bunch of new packs.
Right now in the LeoDex, this is the price of buying a Chaos Legion booster pack:
I think that following this post, I may go ahead and purchase 2 packs at this price. Though the in game packs are only $4, a voucher to buy that pack is currently trading at just under $20, meaning that on the secondary market, any pack you can get below the combined cost of $24 is a good deal financially.
We're living in crazy times where NFT's from a video game are selling for hundreds of dollars. Yesterday, I spent $400 on a Kron The Undying card so that I could rent it out to make passive income while building the rest of my deck.
If you asked me just a year ago whether I would spend $400 for a character in a video game I would have laughed at you and thought you were insane... Yet here we are.

The price of things are subjective but the high price of vouchers just shows how fast the presale would of been if there was no voucher system. In fact, I am wondering how long after the presale will the packs completely sell out and we are stuck waiting for the next ones to come out.
