Amazing Battle and Strategy in the Born Again Ruleset | Splinterlands Social Media Challenge
Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will be talking about the Born Again Ruleset, some abilities that can be useful and one of my favorite strategies in the Born Again Ruleset, and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.
All cards and abilities in the Splinterlands game can be very effective in battles as long as they are used with a good strategy, but there are some that can be much more effective in certain rulesets. In this post, I will talk about some of the abilities I use the most in battles with the Born Again ruleset and one of my favorite strategies. Born Again ruleset is my favorite ruleset and I have a lot of strategies in this ruleset and they all really work very well for my team and I can win the vast majority of the battles in this ruleset. I've talked about some of my strategies before and I can't wait to talk about them all. Today I will talk about one of the most interesting ones.
In battles with the Born Again ruleset, all Monsters gain the Rebirth Ability. And when Monsters with the Rebirth ability die, they will self-resurrect with 1 Health once per battle. When some abilities are combined with the Rebirth Ability, they can become incredibly more effective in battle and be very useful to the team. Some of these abilities are Martyr, Redemption, Bloodlust, so they are the abilities I use the most in battles with the Born Again ruleset. Let's examine how effective these abilities are in the battle below.
- Stampede: The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.
- Born Again: All Monsters have the Rebirth ability.
According to the ruleset of the battle, all Monsters in this battle will have the Rebirth Ability, and the Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed. In fact, using Thorns and Trample abilities would be quite useful in such a battle, but since I wanted to respond to my opponent with a stronger strategy, I chose a different strategy, or rather one of the strategies I prefer most in battles with the Born Again ruleset.
First of all, I chose Eternan Brune as my summoner because I wanted to reduce the armor of all Monsters on the opposing team by 2 and use a Gladiator card. Eternan Brune is a Fire Summoner who reduces the armor of all enemy Monsters by 2 and allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle.
In the first position I put Exploding Rats with Blast Ability and Redemption Ability, and in the last position I put Iidri Fyre with Taunt Ability, Redemption Ability and Return Fire Ability. Exploding Rats only have 1 health so it will be the first Monster destroyed and Iidri Fyre with the Taunt Ability will probably be the next Monster destroyed. Both have the Redemption Ability, so when they die, they will do 1 damage to all enemy Monsters, and since they both have the Rebirth Ability in this battle, Redemption will trigger four times. Considering that the mana cap of the battle is 35, I have no doubt that Redemption Ability will be quite effective and will deal a serious blow to my opponent's strategy.
In the second position, I put Venari Marksrat, who has the Martyr Ability and the Snare Ability. The reason I added it to my team was so that when it dies, Chimney Wallstop gets +1 to all its stats. And considering that Venari Marksrat will also have the Rebirth Ability, if my strategy works the way I want it to, the Martyr Ability will trigger twice and Chimney Wallstop will get +1 to all stats twice. This is exactly why I place great importance on including the Martyr Ability in my lineup for these types of battles.
In the third position I put Chimney Wallstop, who has the Reach Ability, Bloodlust Ability, and Repair Ability. Although Chimney Wallstop cannot attack from the third position, Exploding Rats will die at the beginning of the battle and immediately move to the second position, and since it only has 2 speed, I don't think it will miss its turn to attack.
In the fourth position, I put Scavo Hireling with the Repair Ability and I believed that armor repair would be quite useful in this fight, so I added Scavo Hireling to my team. Additionally, Chimney Wallstop also has the Repair Ability, so the Melee and Ranged attack Monsters on the opposing team will have a very hard time.
And in the fifth position, I put Uraeus, who has the Sneak Ability and the Poison Ability.
Round 1
As I predicted, at the beginning of the battle, the Exploding Rats were destroyed twice and before the other Monsters in my team could even attack the enemies, the opposing team was devastated and 2 enemies suffered their first deaths.
My strategy was working pretty well, and by the first round, the Monsters on the opposing team were starting to suffer. Adding the brutal attacks of Chimney Wallstop and Uraeus, the enemies were helpless.
Round 2
The Redemption Ability was really useful in this battle, and the enemies continued to suffer in the second round.
Although the Rebirth Ability brought them back to life once more, they no longer had much power left to endure.
Round 3
In the third round, while the opposing team had only 3 Monsters left, my team had 5 Monsters still alive, and the most interesting thing was that Iidri Fyre was still alive. The enemies managed to kill Iidri Fyre once more in the third round, but this also meant they took 1 more damage.
Round 4
Not only the Redemption Ability, but also the Repair Ability, Bloodlust Ability and Martyr Ability were very useful. Chimney Wallstop now had 9 melee, 5 speed, 6 armor, and 11 health. And Uraeus still had 1 armor so it was no longer possible to kill them. In the fourth round, Chimney Wallstop destroyed Djinn Chwala but Uraeus missed Orella Abadon, but this will only cause the battle to last one more round.
Round 5
In the fifth round, Chimney Wallstop also destroyed Orella Abadon and my team was able to win the battle.
It was also noteworthy that at the end of the battle, Chimney Wallstop had 11 Melee Attack, 7 Speed, 5 Armor, and 13 Health, clearly showing how useful the Bloodlust and Martyr abilities were in this battle. My strategy worked quite well in this battle, even though the battle had the Born Again ruleset, it only lasted 5 rounds and my team won this battle quite easily. In this battle, 3 Monsters from my team were destroyed, but their destruction was already part of my strategy. I hope you enjoyed it.
Brief explanations of the abilities I mentioned above;
- Rebirth Ability : When this Unit dies it will self-resurrect with 1 Health once per battle.
- Redemption Ability : When this Unit dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy units.
- Martyr Ability : When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats.
- Bloodlust Ability : This Unit revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.
- Repair Ability : Restores a maximum of 2 armor to the friendly Unit whose armor has taken the most damage.
- Blast Ability : Does half damage (rounded up) to Units adjacent to the target Unit.
- Taunt Ability : All enemy Units target this Unit (if they are able to).
- Return Fire Ability : When hit with a Ranged attack, Units with Return Fire will return half the damage (rounded up) back to their attacker.
- Reach Ability : Melee attack Units with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.
- Trample Ability : When a Unit with Trample hits and kills its target with a Melee attack, it will perform another Melee attack on the next Unit on the enemy Team.
- Thorns Ability : When hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the attacker.
