Defeating Stormbringer’s Magic Team

Alrich Stormbringer is a formidable enemy with his ability to add one magic attack to water monsters such as Medusa and Ice Pixie. Combine them with neutral monsters like Enchanted Pixie and Elven Mystic, surely you will have difficulty defeating such a team.

This morning, I fought with Alrich Stormbringer but rohansoto replaced both Ice Pixie and Enchanted Pixie with Captain’s Ghost who has two magic attack plus an affliction ability that makes the opponent monster unable to heal. This makes the team far stronger.

Under a 99-mana cap rule, rohansoto reinforced his magic team with Elven Defender in the front row and range attackers like sniping Mantoid and Cyclops to protect the last position.

Under the leadership of Mylor Crowling, I had the perfect team to defeat Alrich Stormbringer’s team. I put Unicorn Mustang in the front row to reduce the damage from magic attacks. He was then followed by Oaken Behemoth with reach ability attacking from the second position. And then I placed next Screeching Vulture looking for an opportunity to slay the weakest enemy. It was then followed by Sand Worm to destroy the enemy in the last position. The presence of Sand Worm in the team made both Cyclops and Mantoid defenseless. And then I placed Wood Nymph whom I consider as the “physician” in the team. Her ability to restore the health of her friendly monster in the front position is so crucial in winning the battle. Finally, the Spirit of the Forest, which is a sniper too and matched with a strong health is most suitable to be placed at the back to protect the last position.

See the outcome of this battle here.

I never expect that playing this game will be this fun. Why not try it? Here’s my code.

Do you mean Alric Stormbringer instead of Alrich Stormbringer? 🤔😏

Anyway, I really love to use Mylor Crowling with Unicorn Mustang as the frontline monster with Wood Nymph to heal it. 🤓 By the way, oooooh, I wish I bought Spirit of the Forest when it was still cheap! 😅

Oh thank you for that correction.

My experience with Crowling is still new. At first, when the opponent was using that summoner especially in lower leagues, I thought the playing field isn't fair. I took card rental for granted during the previous two seasons. This season, I started to utilize card rentals and as a result, my winnings improved from 51% to 54%.

You're right about Spirit of the Forest. She's the most expensive card I rented today. Mylor and Oaken Behemoth are very useful, but of course without Spirit of the Forest, I think I could not complete my snipe quest this morning.

When I have the Snipe Quest, I just use Mantoid (as a backline monster with decent health) or Child of the Forest (as a near-backline monster with high speed) to complete that quest. 😏

In my opinion, renting cards right now takes away a significant percentage of your income, though I still sometimes do it in case I got stuck in the Life Quest where monsters usually have high health and armor but low damage and speed. 😅
