Dragons Rule on Splinterlands!!!

Known as the Slayer King of hostile melee monsters with his power to grant thorn ability, Mylor Crowling is a monster summoner popular among players on Splinterlands. Perhaps, this is the reason why the other player knowing that all melee monsters will be equipped with an additional sneak ability, he wanted to grab this opportunity to have a sure win. This is another power possessed by a Mylor card, the ability to annihilate sneak monsters. Moreover, the rule set states that monsters with magic ability isn’t allowed to enter the battle arena. Mylor and his monsters have only one threat remaining – the range attackers!

Unfortunately, that anticipated victory would not happen for a team has been formed to exactly invalidate Mylor’s abilities to exterminate melee and sneak attackers. This team is under the leadership of Daria Dragonscale who has capability to add one more melee attack to all her summoned monsters. With a dragon summoner like Daria, she can combine the forces of neutral, dragon, and earth monsters!

The first on battle line is Robo-Dragon Knight! He is indeed a formidable and a reliable defender of the frontline. Both with his eight shields and void ability, it would take some time for all the combined forces of the enemies to bring him down. The rule set worked for him for no magic is allowed in this fight.

While passively watching as the battle unfolds, Lord Arianthus just smiled and remained untouched. The utility of Arianthus in this game is prepared in a “just in case” scenario, that the first tank would fail. In that case, Lord Arianthus is another invincible monster that could just accept all types of attack with little or no damage felt. He is invincible in the face of a one melee or range attacker. Furthermore, Arianthus is placed in the second position in anticipation against the attack of snipe or blasts monsters.

An afterthought. Though my strategy worked, I felt my preparation was somehow excessive. Perhaps, if I placed Twilight Basilisk instead on the second position, the battle would be easier for all of the monsters will be actively participating.

With a level 2 Daria Dragonscale as a summoner, I could utilize a level 2 Sand Worm to easily and speedily destroy the back supporters of the enemy team.

I think Dragon Jumper deserves the title to be called as the “king” among opportunity monsters. Other opportunity monsters like Screeching Vulture, Serpentine Spy, and Feasting Seaweed are no match for him. With flying ability and speed, Jumper is almost unreachable for land and slow monsters.

Mitica Headhunter is the only monster in this battle that has a range attack. Since magic isn’t allowed in this fight, her 4 range attacks would be of great help to destroy the enemy. Range attack by the way is the known weakness of Mylor and his team.

Since this is a fight of melee and sneak monsters, putting Djinn Chwala as the defender of the backline is very strategic. As the battle progresses, Djinn Chwala is the one who slayed the first monster at the back of the opponent team. Though she died early, but with her torn ability, she reduced much of the enemies’ health making them more vulnerable as the battle continues.

The battle ended with Dragon Jumper gave the final blow, but died.

Conclusion

With Daria’s ability to add one melee attack to all friendly monsters makes her a deadly summoner against all her opponents. I think Dragons rule on Splinterlands because they can summon at least three types of monsters: dragon, neutral and another one. This places them in advantageous position compared to other splinters.
