Introduction

Sup folks, today I would like to share some informatic content about your daily quest. I believe you must face the similar situation that you are on Silver 3 but ended up you only claiming 1 chest which is exactly for lower rank for Bronze 1, right? Sometime it is pretty confusing since you are sitting above 1000 ranking with 15k Power which satisfied the requirement for Silver 3, but doubting that why you are claiming less rewards. Let's move one and I will explain the issue in a detailed way, more importantly, provide some tricks for you to check your range of adjusted power rank.

Previous research

As suggested by @ElClements in his article: Missing Chests for Daily Quests three months ago. He provide us some ways to check your adjusted power afterwards if you have claimed your chests via your transaction ID in hive blocks. I appreciate the article that points our the FAQ in discord and telegram group and it is really a good article for you to read and know more details behind the game.

However, it seems too late for me to know my adjust power after claiming the reward since I have nothing to do with my chests afterwards. So far, there's no one mention and build up some tools to check you adjust power before the claim.

And then, I just accidental pop up some ideas and discovered the way to check you adjust power range, and it is like the name indicates. This method only provide a way for us to reveal the rough range for an approximately estimation, but not an exact power. So please be-careful on my wording here.

Summary of previous research

There's a way for you to check your adjust power afterwards:

  1. Direct to your PeakMonsters and plug in your hive ID.
  2. Copy your transaction ID as shown below.
    image.png
  3. Next, go to API Transaction Lookup URL and fill the ID you just copied.
https://game-api.splinterlands.com/transactions/lookup?trx_id=PasteYourIDHere (delete the words PasteYourIDHere, and put the copied ID right there after the = sign)
  4. Finally, you will be able to check your adjust power in this way.

Reason that will lead to lower adjust power?

According to the official announcement of Splinterland on Aug 31, 2020 in the article: Collection Power - Phase 2 Details, stated that:

While an account's collection power and league are updated immediately whenever there is a change in the account's collection, the collection power and league used for determining daily quest rewards will not include any cards which have been transferred or delegated within the past 24 hours. This is required to prevent players from being able to shuffle a group of cards around to multiple accounts in order to claim higher quest rewards.

In other words, only the power from renting/buying new cards will count into your adjust power immediately. The power of transfer/delegate between your account will NOT count into your adjust power, which will potentially affect your number of reward chests.

However, the adjust power ONLY affect the number of chest, but NOT affect the DEC battle reward if you advance into next league. This point is extremely important and it is suggested to bear in mind for all of us who do not want to lose any chest from your daily reward.

Then, how to check your adjust power range?

Here comes the most important part of this article.

Situation 1

If you do not delegate/transfer any significant amount of cards/powers to other accounts or your friends.

You can basically skip this step and just claim your daily chests directly, since your adjust power would not be affected significantly.

Situation 2

If you realize that you just delegate/transfer any significant amount of cards/powers to other accounts or your friends. And then you cancel the delegation or transfer your cards back to you main account. And the amount of power transfer is believed that might lower your rank potentially.

Then you are suggest to have a brief view on the number of chests before claiming your reward to play safe.

Example

  1. Make sure you have Splinterland app downloaded in your mobile phone.
  2. Press the 'Claim Quest Reward' and another screen will pop up as below.

  3. According to this table, I am sitting at Gold 2 which is believe to claim 7 chests.
    image.png
  4. I just transfer approximately 16k power to my alt account and then get those power back. So that I think my adjust power just deduct that part and fall to the Gold 3 which enable me claiming Gold 3 reward only.
  5. Then I just went to the PeakMonster to grab some cheap power to fill the gap in a rough way, so that I can get the reward for Gold 2 to have 1 extra chest.
  6. The amount of power you need to fill is just an rough estimation, you will never know the exactly number unless you claimed the reward already.
  7. Done
