I am almost entire season late in making this post.In fact in two days I can make the seasons 102 post and updated financial. Let's take a look at how I do for season 101 compared to prior seasons, and expected value of chests.

Performance

My overall performance is right in line with prior seasons, I'm still maintaining a positive when lost ratio hovering around the 1.2. while this is not great it's pretty good considering the level I'm playing and the potential maximum cards versus my maximum cards. I'm still playing level two summers in silver league for the first 75 to 80% of the season before moving on up into gold for the final few days. This allows me to win roughly 10 silver chests a day while getting about 45 gold for the season.

Highlights

This season there are but a few highlights. Mainly I managed to squeeze three chaos packs from daily and season 10 records combined with one gold foils vampire bat. I feel like this is a little below average in terms of what I typically get for cards considering I didn't get any epic or legendary, but I probably made up for that in value with the chaos packs.

  • GF Vampire Bat

Earnings Stats and Graphs

image.png

As you can see overall my earnings have been dropping pretty consistently throughout the seasons but are starting to level off. I may be finally finding a point of stability and normalcy with my earnings. The SPs is also finding normality and things are starting to get dialed in to where I think maybe I can figure out what I'm actually expected to get per season.

Win/Loss and Chests Won

I'm also tracking number of wins and losses as well as my total returns. This is letting me see that I've been playing pretty consistently and my rewards have been fairly consistent as well. In all honesty the large fluctuation in percentages of rewards is more to do with the low value of the rewards that I get than anything else. A couple of gold foil or gold foil rare or epic is likely to swing percentage larger than it actually seems. If I continue to have a win-loss in this range then I think my expected value should continue to normalize and get dialed in.

SPS Price and Earnings

Given the price decline - I don't think it makes much sense to focus on battle and tournaments to earn right now. I would be better off spent my time posting and commenting and taking the increased post rewards to buy some SPS off the market. 40 - 80 SPS a season It would not take much from content production to out earn my increased playing. While I still like the idea of stacking more SPS long term, I think they most efficient way is to buy it from other sources of earnings right now.

Overall summary

I think I'm doing fairly well overall although I need to scale back the amount of time spent playing spunker lanes. I was signing up for every single tournament how was eligible for that I thought I could make a profit even if it was one to three sps. Given the recent prices I need to reclaim that time and focus more than daily quests and posting on chain. Well I think that tournaments are great, I'm not ranking high enough to get the top tier rewards so my return on time invested is not worth continuing in most cases. I may continue to look at gold foil tournaments only.

Look at my account and tell me how to improve.

I'm continuing to buy gold foil cards for my account. I each month I spend as much as I can on single bcx Coldwell cards that I don't already have to add to my collection to expand both my play in brawls and in tournament play and rank to play. Right now I'm adding as much gold coil epic reward card to the can before transitioning to chaos gold foil epics before their price increases.

Besides adding a few of the key legendary cards I'm missing I'm not sure what I can do to better compete given my summoner restrictions.

Adding summoners has to be the goal. It's all well and good to add cards but if you can't play them to their full potential, they don't do you much good. I would look at trying to either buy some cheap cards you think you can sell later for more money, thus paying for more summoners, or renting a couple of the summoners when you reach higher levels. As you said, there's only so much you can do if you don't have the cards.

I agree getting summoners upgraded is key, but I have also been trying to focus on getting a complete collection. I still have some high cost cards left that are taking a while even excluding Untamed since I started back in with Chaos. I buy 1 bcx GF because they match up with level 2 summoner caps. Not great, but keeping it as liquid as I can for when Untamed and some rewards shift to wild, I will sell and reinvest into the current deck and try to upgrade where I can with the new set.

I hear ya, believe me. It's expensive no matter how you slice it. As long as you have a plan and keep working towards it you'll get there.
