Longest Win Streak? A 50+ Woman Splinterlands Experience

I read this post by @jonnycoin about a spectacular 10-Win Streak he was experiencing.

After reading his post, I felt prompted to look at my Splinterlands profile to see about my own win streak.

Win Streaks & Win/Loss Ratios

Other than the 7 game win streak which I've highlighted, you'll also notice that I have lost a whole lot more games than I've won. Currently, I only win about 43% of the games I play. So how I managed to eek out a 7 game win streak is actually a bit of a surprise. I wonder if maybe...perhaps I am actually getting better? Or more likely some crazy fluke due to a few random stars and planets aligning in some sort of lucky way. You never know. I'm sure stranger things have happened, right?

Having Fun

It may seem odd to say this but, since I'm still relatively new to the game I'm less concerned about the win/loss ratio. What I am concerned with is trying to find a solid low mana Life lineup and less than thrilled with back to back Daily Quest potion rewards. Although I may change my tune about potions when the Chaos Legion card packs become available. Maybe by then I'll be all about the potions. Maybe.

Notwithstanding those two minor inconveniences, I am happy to be here and enjoying the Play2Earn aspect of the game. Having fun playing games AND earning? I'm here for it!

Off My Rocker

As a 50+ woman who is in month two of the Splinterlands adventure, I look at my how I spend my days and have to chuckle. If someone had told me at the beginning of 2021 that I would be an avid card gamer I would have thought they were off their rocker. Of course, I'm not sure if being so invested into a card game on the blockchain doesn't mean I'm off my rocker.

There's an old saying,

If this is wrong, I don't want to be right

In the meantime, while I may not know quite what I'm doing (yet), I am having quite a bit of fun learning...and earning. Cheers!
