SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! LIFE SAPPER - Gold Foil

This post is an entry to the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! LIFE SAPPER

“Paladins, clerics, and healers of the world don't bother trying to save a Life Sapper as it may be the last thing you'll do. Hold dear to your worldly bodies and pray to whichever gods you know that you do not become lost in the in-between.”

-- Malaus Dawnforge, University of Illumination Priest

Overview

See my general overview here: SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! LIFE SAPPER - Regular Foil. Gold Foil version has more speed by default, so it is not extraordinary addition.

Stats

AbilitiesLevelDescription
Life Leech1Monster's health increases each time it damages an enemy Monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt
Redeption8When this Monster dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters. The damage dealt is Melee and follows normal rules of melee attacks.

Market prices

Gold version is still a good price card.

Gold foil version of this card rent better than the regular foil.

Battle RulesetsDescription
Weak MagicMagic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health.

Explosive Weaponry info: Protect, Repair, Rust are useful in this ruleset. Beware the opponent could choose only Melee and Ranged monsters, so keep a tank with Shield.

Lineup

It was high mana battle with only death allowed. So I collect some high mana monsters to fill the ground.

CardStrategy
Thaddius Brood - It was not a hard choice, because he is my only higher level death summoner. And -1 Health is always a good deal in every game.
Harklaw - I think it is an undervalued monster. With a weak magic ruleset and shield ability + Thaddius, he was an ideal tank for the battle
The Gorlodon - In high mana games I often prefer it as the second tank, because of the reach ability and the very high health
Djinn Muirat - High mana magic monster is always good to have. With armor he can live long enogh.
Life Sapper - Monster of the week. I hoped there were no opportunity monsters in the enemy team, but I was wrong.
Silent Sha-vi - Very good price/value ratio snake monster, one of my best common chaos card.
Cornealus - Ideal backline monster with big health and healing ability. A lot of games it is my back.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

It was a very interesting and exciting game. I did not believe in the win until the and. Unfortunately, the Sapper died first. Harklaw live long enough to keep alive the rest of the team and I had a little luck cause The Gorlodon could kill the Phantom solider. This wan one of my best battle in the last week.

My main mistake (as a lot of time) I wanted to play with the monster of the week. If I change it to Octopider it was more easy win:

Do you like gold foil LIFE SAPPER? Why or why not?

It is a bit more stronger than the regular one, but the higher level of this monster is stronger. What is interesting gold version has better rent-out ability nowadays. But generally, I still prefer the Venari Bonesmith.
