Beware of the Serpent of Eld! My Splinterlands Journey #22
As soon as a medium to high mana battle is before us, isn't it true that a popular choice as a tank to use is the Neutral Monster Goblin Mech?
Watch how my Rare Water Monster Serpent of Eld, supported by the other Monsters in my line-up, defeats the Goblin Mech at the begining of Round 2.
Watch how the Serpent of Eld delivers the kill blows to defeat every enemy Monster, and how my monster team came out victorious💪.
I chose to share this battle because my opponent's Splinter and line-up was almost the same as mine, but with a different tank. The card levels of both teams were almost identical and thus demonstrates the virtues of the Serpent of Eld.
Note that the enemy tank Goblin Mech had a higher attack level and had more health and more armor than my Serpent of Eld.
The turning point of the battle was early on in the first round when Serpent of Eld took down the armor of the Goblin Mech Enemy Team tank and made it vulnerable to the attacks of my monster line-up.
In contrast, my Serpent of Eld had the ability to Dodge enemy Melee and Range attacks. Enemy Monsters' attacks directed towards the Serpent of Eld missed their target.
This and the strategy empoyed in this battle resulted to my winning this battle.
General strategy:
- Utiize only Monsters that the ability to attack from the back. [Wave Runner- Reach][Ruler of the Seas- Magic attack, Blast, Snipe][Pirate Archer- Range attack, Blast][Crustacean King- Range attack, Blast][Ice Pixie- Magic attack]
- Include a monster with the ability to HEAL the tank. Position this monster at the back of all intended secondary tanks. [Crustacean King]
- I chose not just one but two monsters with the ability to BLAST and have the ability to do additional damage to the adjacent target Monster. [Ruler of the Seas, Pirate Archer]
- I also chose Monsters with a speed of 3 or higher, with the exception of the Crustacean King whose main and special role is to heal the tank.
Battle Rule- Weak Magic, Mana- 28

You know me... I enjoy trying out all the cards (and so I also lose many battles ) and learn much in the process. And it takes me forever to complete one battle because I love watching the Monsters battle!

Yes. I do the same thing... or did. Goblin Mech was my go to tank in medium - higher mana caps. It normally does SO WELL.
Until my challenge. MUAHAHAHAHAH!
For real though, I think it's really easy for us all to find a few cards we love and just ignore the rest. I think the challenge forces me (and hopefully others) to switch things up... maybe find a diamond in the rough #aladdin 😎
This battle (and your post) was totes sexy. I LOVE THOSE LITTLE GIFS! I also like being able to SEE the first lineups (so thanks for that screenshot too!).
This is a great example of how strong old king Eld really is... especially with his trusty Crusty King alongside.
Thank you @carrieallen for finding me! I love your comments, and it tells me that you and I sort-a think the same! We have common strategies! BTW, I made it to Gold League level II at the end of the recent season, and I was so excited to see so many Loot Chests... it was by far the most that I have received! So I am so enthused. I received great end-of-season rewards. Hopefully I can do it again. I lose a lot and win a few, but that is where all the challenge and enjoyment comes from. I love it!!!
