Shadow Snitch

Let's take a run down first of this card's lore and stats.

Shadow Snitch
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: DEATH
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Reach

Lore
Shadow Snitches are created by the conjurers of the Chaos Legion. Weaving Death magic, they breathe life into beings made completely of darkness. The purpose of the Shadow Snitches is to be deployed into lands prior to the Chaos Legion's invasion. Moving from shadow to shadow, they are listeners and watchers, feeding information back to the Chaos Legion.

But once the invasion is complete, the Shadow Snitches still serve a purpose. They can locate and follow high-value targets, reporting back on movements to Chaos Legion leadership. If needed, Shadow Snitches can also capture prisoners and bring them back for interrogation.
Devon ran down the narrow alleyway, panting and his heart thundering in his chest. Panic ran like electricity through his body, spurring him on as he splashed through mucky puddles and jumped over piles of trash.

It was just behind him. He knew. The creature. The creature of shadow. It wanted him because of what he knew. Valuable information for this person that Devon knew of only in whispers. The Voice.

He stumbled around a corner and came face-to-face with a dead end.

“No!” he gasped.

Devon spun around, eyes as round as two full moons. Had he lost his pursuer?

Suddenly two shadowy arms shot out from the dark corner behind him. One spindly hand grasped his torso, the other closed around his face to cut off his scream.

Devon was dragged back into the darkness.

It was time for an interrogation.

Line Up

Summoner: Crypt Mancer
Ability: All enemy Melee Attack monsters have -1 Melee Attack, All enemy monsters have -1 Speed, All enemy monsters have -1 Health

I am currently playing in Bronze league and the max attack that the Shadow Snitch can get is only 1. To make up for this, I used Crypt Mancer to reduce enemy monster's health so that Shadow Snitch can contribute more on damage output. It will also minimize the chance that the Shadow Snitch's attack will miss.
Pos 1/Tank: Chain Golem
Ability: Shield - Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks.

Since Shadow Snitch is not a tank and has Reach ability, the perfect position for it is Pos 2. So, I need a tank and I chose Chain Golem for that because I assume that the enemy will not use magic attack. It has a nice armor and health to protect Shadow Snitch from a direct hit.
Pos 2: Shadow Snitch
Ability: Reach - Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team

As discussed above, the perfect position for Shadow Snitch is Pos 2 because of its Reach ability. However, it has only 1 Speed so I just prayed that it will not miss. LOL
Pos 3: Undead Archer
Ability: Affliction - When a Monster with Affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed.

I saw in the enemy's battle history that enemy used healers from Light element. And this is the purpose of Undead Archer, to inflict Affliction to the enemy. In this way, enemy tank will not be that hard to kill.
Pos 4: Halfling Alchemist
Ability: Halving - Each time this Monster hits a target, the target's attack is cut in half (rounded down)

Since I am using a tank with Shield ability, I used Halfling Alchemist to reduce further the attack power of the enemy. If I can drastically reduce the attack power of the enemy monster in Pos 1 then I will have a huge advantage in the battle.
Pos 5: Weirding Warrior
Ability: Shatter - Target's armor is destroyed when hit by an attack from Monsters with Shatter

I used Weirding Warrior because I saw in the enemy's battle history that enemy used tank with Armor and Armorsmith from Light element. And this is the purpose of Weirding Warrior. With its Shatter ablity, I can easily destryo the tank's shield and Chain Golem and Shadow Snitch are free to inflict direct damage to enemy monster's health.
Pos 6: Corpse Fiend
Ability: None

The purpose of Corpse Fiend is to receive direct damage from Sneak attacks. This will help my support monsters to last longer in the battle. And it only has 0 mana!

Let's Battle!

Let's discuss the battle to see areas that I should improve or what worked well.

Round 1

The enemy used General Sloan as the summoner and the enemy line up has Shieldbearer as Tank, Divine Healer and Armorsmith as support and the damagers are Venari Crytalsmith and Silvershield Archers. Oh!, and Venari Crystalsmith has heal, too. My summoner is quite useful because of the -1 Speed and -1 Health. And my prediction regarding Shieldbearer as Tank, Divine Healer and Armorsmith are correct. I've managed to reduce the melee attack of Shielbearer to 1 and Shatter proved to be effective. Affliction did not get a chance to be applied to the target. Chain Golem, Shadow Snitch, Undead Archer and Halfling Alchemist were able to inflict damage to Shieldbearer's Health.

The only direct damage that I received is from Silvershield Archers due to it's Snipe ability. Luckily, I did not lose any card in this round.

Round 2

My line up continued to attack enemy's Shieldbearer but unable to kill it in this round because of Divine Healer and Venari Crystalsmith's heal. Affliction hasn't been applied also in this round and the enemy managed to kill my Undead Archer. And so I thought that I might lose this battle because the enemy's almost perfect support to Shieldbearer.

Round 3

In round 3, thanks to Crypt Mancer's -1 speed, Chain Golem and Shadow Snitch's attack were able to bring Shieldbearer's Health to zero before Divine Healer and Venari Crystalsmith's heal Shieldbearer's Health. With Shieldbearer gone, there is a huge possibility to win this battle.

Round 4

Divine Healer has no shield and so Armorsmith is quite useless in this round. My line up managed to kill Divine Healer and Armorsmith leaving Silvershield Archers in Pos 1. In this scenario, I can already smell my victory.

Round 5

My line up easily killed Silvershield Archers and Venari Crystalsmith in this round making me the winner in this battle.

Shadow Snitch Review

Shadow Snitch has good Health for a 4-mana cost card. But I think it lacks in Speed and Attack in Bronze league. So, you may want to use Shadow Snitch togethere with monsters that buffs your speed or debuffs the enemy's speed. You may also want to try using Daria Dragonscale to increase Shadow Snitch's melee attack.

Under normally circumstances, I think I will prefer to use Spineback Wolf in Pos 2 because of its Speed and Armor and Reach ability. However, Spineback Wolf is a 5-mana cost card and will not be available in Little League and hard to play in low mana cost battles. So, I might still consider adding Shadow Snitch in my line up in Bronze League. But in Silver League Spineback Wolf will already have its second ability which is Thorn and Shadow Snitch will still have 1 ability. Shadow Snitch will only receive its second ability in Gold league. So you may want to consider these in using Shadow Snitch.
