My Splinterlands Journey SO FAR
Hi all, I am from the philippines. Working dad. I started playing around september 2021. I am not really into card games to be honest. I reserve all of my brain cells for trading lol. But then here came the NFT Gaming craze. I started to try different kinds of games and somewhat heavily invested on a game which only required users to click and click few times a day for earnings. Up to now that investment is on the negative side with no hopes of roi in sight. Then I realized I should look for games that are for the long term. The earning mechanics should be well thought (not like the one I invested in previously which only required me to click once or twice per character then poof - earnings) Looking at splinterlands it has all what I am looking for - not so mainstream (at the time - sept) compared to axie, stable economy (ways to earn are not so freakin easy. you have to work for it) lastly, the management - Really top notch.
Fast forward, I bought a spellbook. Not really aware I could rent, I played my first games and earned around 200 dec that time. The feeling was freaking amazing. I thought of expanding, Bought 3 more accounts then asked for scholars who can grind the accounts for me at a reasonable price. Since my accounts were only grinding at bronze, I didn't get much profit from these and at the most I am happy with breakeven. As long as I am helping other people its fine.
Then I saw that bot is allowed for this game. This is the game changer for me. I have been on the IT side(Programmer) for 9 years and been trading for 4 years now. So to have my passion and work collide in one game(a freakin awesome game) is the ultimate win for me. I started buying accounts *i am now managing 90 accounts as of now though i plan to expand later on depending on the winrate of the bots this season. Botting has given me a fair payday every EOS enough to cover our monthly expenses at home. (Will expand more on this on my next writing) I am so grateful to splinterlands for this opportunity and as a way to show my gratitude I have also started to re invest my profits back into the game to build my main account with cards that I bought individually. This seemed to be an addicting process as I cannot stop myself from sniping everyday in the markets looking for a good deal.
Moving forward I am so excited for the new format and hopefully get some rewards back in the lower tiers lol. But in all honesty I like the way the game is being managed and definitely will be reinvesting my profits over time as I really believe in this game. kudos to everyone!
